not me! im using windows im used to it. but i also have ubuntu as my secondary OS. linux is good because of its flexibility and being open to all as an opensource. on the other hand, windows is widely used due to programs being develop are commonly run through it. most people prefer windows because of the graphical interface. if you prefer more on typing and programming stuff you have linux..i guess its up to the user what he/she prefers.
have a nice day!

Thanks for the response! I currently use linux mint (it's an offbranch of ubuntu) because it has the base ubuntu code but includes a lot of the media codecs and wifi drivers you'd have to go out and find yourself if you were to go with ubuntu. I think it's because ubuntu wanted to make sure EVERYTHING in their default system is open-source and mint was sort of a little 'bridge' for users who didn't want to deal with all that searching.

I know, it has its pluses just like every other OS but I just don't like it as much. Aside from the popularity (and thus the security threats) I like being in total control of my system (via the linux terminal :) )
I guess i'm just too much of a power user

I don't really understand why people hate Microsoft. What have they done? Are they that greedy? I heard Bill Gates is a philanthropist. I don't really care as to what operating system is the best or worst. All I care is the usability. I'm used to windows and I love it. I haven't tried linux. Is it user friendly too?

I have used both MAC and Linux but for me it is Windows and only Windows. Not that I don't like those OS but I have a huge preference to Windows. I have grown up learning all my programming and graphics education from Windows and always the interface attracts me more than any other OS. If stability and security are the issues, I think Vista has done a lot of advancement on it.

i never use ma.c nor li.nu.x, i am using micros.oft until now, but my friend say that ma.c and li.nu.x more secure than micro.s.oft, lots of my friend use li.nux, they say it more reliable and stable. in my opinion the world has not become a mi.cro.soft world, by the way i am new in this site i want to ask can we write any product or brand name in discussion ?

hi daweefolk
i don't know i have never used mac, maybe i would like that after using it, but many of us i guess rather stick with the simple windows, i think windows is a nice balance between the foolproof and a less user-friendly linux/unix and the more expensive mac... no wonder most people find it convenient using windows most, i would like to continue using windows, it's not that bad either...
have a nice day daweefolk!
