Save a life

Let me give you a situation and I want to hear your answer.
Let's say that you and your wife and baby were in a cruise ship on your vacation to the Carribeans. Suddenly the ship caught fire and everyone was told to abandon ship.
You are aware that your wife does'nt know how to swim so you have to save her. But there is your small baby who also have to be saved.
The question is: whom will you save? Your wife or your baby?
Please tell me your opinion because your answer will be important in solving another problem.

You can saved both actually, thats if you know what to do. And the first thing you would not want to do is to panic. And if there's no hope at all and I can only saved one, I think I go for my wife as she has a better chance of living than dying.

I agree. As much as it would probably hurt, I think her chances of survival would be a lot better if this choice had to be made, especially if something were to happen to me after having to save her.
