Most of the successful people I know are in the marketing business. They are good at selling. They are good in making sales talk that they can even sell the golden gate bridge. But no matter how I think about it, it's just not my cup of tea and I can not imagine myself being successful in the business of selling. I might to do it as a last option, I am not sure.
How about you?

selling is never my cup of tea. there were instances in the past that i ventured into selling ready-to-wear clothes, jewelry, home decors, porcelain figurines and vases and a lot more. i was only "good" at the beginning but i always find myself ending up getting bored and at a loss instead of making a profit from my business, lol. and, added to that, i am not very good in collecting payments from customers; i just feel shy doing it. i have tried attending seminars and trainings to become a good underwriter for the insurance business. the result? ... i have never sold a single insurance policy, isn't that funny? . i am now resigned to the fact that selling is not for me.

yes, after all you've been through, I can say that selling is not really one of your natural talent LOL But since you have the desire and just lose momentum after a while, perhaps an encouragement or one big break is all you need. At least you have the the will to take the initiative and have actually tried it. Personally I don't even have the guts to start and try it. Just the mere thought of selling scares me.
have fun!

I share the same outlook. Before, just the word selling already turns me off, I consider it the hardest job in the world LOL. I'm sure a lot of people out there share the same view. Convincing people to buy something takes great nerve and courage. I felt that selling is not just my cup of tea. Just recently, about 3 weeks to exact, my wife and I was window shopping at a mall, we passed by a health supplement store. Out of curiosity we asked questions and the product was explained to us (I will not mention the name of the product). It did not take too long for me to be convinced so I decided to join but primarily just to be a consumer and to test whether what it was claiming was true. The money side was explained to me as well, and just like any other MLM, there's this promise of earning this and that and if you work hard enough, you could earn a year's salary in a months time. Well, it certainly looks promising. But you know what? in a week's time and just by sharing what was shared to me, I was able to get 3 people already as a matter of fact, I already received my first 3 checks last week. So I started thinking, do I have this gift of selling all along? If I have, imagine what I can do in 2 to 3 years time? Right now I'm doing MLM on the side since I also get paid on my regular job. So I'm hoping that Mylot would still be around two to three years from now so I can share what the future holds for me. Pray...pray...

No. but believe it or not I was part of a marketing team for a year and a half. I did upsells, downsells, and all that but I got tired. I tried to love the job and somehow did or shall I say I got used to it – not really love it. But I admit I hate it. hehehe.. I’m still part of that company but no longer with the marketing team.

Hi, manong
I do not think selling is my cup of tea.
Sure, I have a lot of sales experience. My mother is good at marketing and she heads a network of people selling cosmetics and I help her whenever I can. However, I do not think I am going to excel at it nor be as good as she is. I am not very aggressive nor very talkative. I am also a little shy with strangers.
Have a nice day!
