Do you eat parathas as we do in India? It is made with wheat flour which is well kneaded with water. You can make potato parathas which is called aloo parathas in India. Boil and peel potatoes, mash and keep them aside. Take some wheat flour and add the following - Salt, Red chilly powder, Cumin seeds powder, Turmeric powder and oil or any fat of your choice. Mix well. Add the mashed potatoes. If you like a spicy food then you can add some finely chopped green chillies also. Now mix well and knead it into a good dough. Leave it aside for half an hour. Then make small balls from it and flatten them with rolling pins. Now cook/bake them in an open heavy bottomed pan or tava smearing them with oil or butter till it is cooked or golden brown. You can eat it with any side dish of your choice. Hope your family likes it like mine.
Welcome to mylot and happy mylotting.

Here's something I love cooking and eating as well:
Swedish Meatballs and Pasta
Ingredients:
Spaghetti, Macaroni or Fetuccine Pasta (Dooked and Drained)
***Tip: Kepp about 1 cup of the pasta liquid to thicken sauce.
Meatballs:
1/2 kilo ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1 egg
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Mix the ingredients and form into balls.
Using same pot you used for the pasta, saute meat balls in olive oil. Wait until meatballs are golden and slightly crisp on the outside. Set Aside. Prepare the gravy.
Gravy:
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons all purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
fresh rosemary or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
In a medium low heat, mix butter and olive oil in a pan. Add the flour and cook until flour is well mixed into the oil (preferably bubbling).
Add the broth and and the rest of the ingredients. Whisk well to avid clumps.
Simmer until thick.
Place the cooked meatballs into the sauce and toss in pasta.
Serve hot.
This should serve 5 to 6 people.
Enjoy!

Hi Shaunken,
I also love to surf nets looking for some cooking recipes.
Last week, I was thinking of pancakes and I managed to find simple recipe to make :basic pancake and potato pancake.
I try to cook both and it taste super yummy. Even my husband and my son also love eating it.
Making basic pancake is pretty simple, you just need to get ready multipurpose flour, egg, butter, salt, baking powder.Mixed all the ingredients together and ready for pan-fried. Served hot with honey or butter or jam.
It is the best breakfast for your family.
