Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if any here has ever scored a 300 games and also if they've ever picked up a 7-10 split (which is no doubt harder than a full 300 game!).
The closest I ever got was a 10 strike run, but I hit a 7 on my 11th ball. I think it was too much pressure! I've only ever witnessed one person bowl a 300 game in any league I;ve been in. That was a great day! :D
I've never picked up a 7-10 etiher and I've never seen anyone do it other than on youtube!
Would be good to hear your stories of any 300s or other decent games as well.

When I was a teenager I hung out in the local bowling alley, and I got really good.
I have bowled in several bowling leagues throughout my lifetime. Once I bowled for 5 years without paying because I was a sub for the league. I have picked up the 7-10 split many times.....and as great and sad is this to say my highest achievement was a 299. I wonder whatever happened to that trophy. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Glad I bought back some memories :)
7-10's are impressive. Also, hitting a 299! That must have really stung to end the game on 9 pins after 11 strikes :( Good effort though, that's closer than I've got to 300!

I have never bowled a 300, but I have seen it done by others in my leagues quite a few times. I also have never gotten a 7-10 split, but I have seen one guy in one of the leagues I used to bowl in pick it up. I agree that a 300 game is easier than picking up a 7-10 split.

That's awesome seeing a 7-10. It's even rare on TV when a pro tournament is on. I think most of the time the pin comes back off the back plate or rubber. The back of the mechanism doesn't often allow pins to bounce forwards easily so that may help make it so rare.

Hi, first off I'll start out that my dad owns the local bowling here in my hometown so i've been bowling for quite awhile.
I have 2 300's, and 1 299. And my best 3 game series so far is a 794. I haven't yet made a 7-10 split yet but, who knows, that's 100% luck anyways.=)

I've been bowling in Crossville TN for the past eight years. Last summer, 2009, during league competition, one of the members on the opposing team rolled a 7-10 in the fifth frame of the second game. He converted this to the amazement of everyone watching. Lo and behold, when he came up again in the sixth, he rolled the 7-10 again and, once again, converted this. I swear this to be true and would not have believed it had I not seen it for myself. This bowler does have a 210 avg. We later learned that he was only the fourth person in the history of the ABC/USBC to bowl and convert two consecutive 7-10 splits. So there you have it. John Healy
