Love conquers all. Perfection, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. When we are in love, we see those imperfections as cute little quirks in our personality. We do not see faults.
If there is no love there, the person who is perfect and does everything "right" may be seen as too perfect to be human, so we see that as a fault.

To revisit your question. No, we do not have to be perfect. We can never be perfect. The joy of living is in constantly improving ourselves and seeking perfection. We cannot make ourselves unhappy when we do not succeed. we simply keep trying. It's human nature. It's what keeps us going. We have to balance that strive for perfection with contentment and enjoyment over what we have already.

I think perfection is boring.when you are perfect, you don't seek to improve yourself.Imperfection is much more fun and lively.you continue improving yourself and change for the better.why strive for perfection when people will still find a fault in you?

I don't think we need to be perfect or to expect anyone or anything else to be, but I also think we can strive for what I call 'good enough'. I think a lot of people make themselves very unhappy because they won't settle for less than what they perceive as perfection, and that's a very rare or even perhaps non-existent thing.

We can be perfect to someone else, perhaps a girlfriend/boyfriend might find you the perfect partner, or your parents might find you a perfect child! It basically depends from person to person, and each one usually has a different meaning for being perfect.
However, when we talk we talk about perfection in general, we usually mean being the best in everything there is, and you have to sacrifice something else. So I believe we don't need to be perfect! :)
