Is it okay for you if your teenage son/daughter will have a girlfriend/boyfriend. Personally, it's okay for me. Like I told my son who's 16 years old and is on his first year in college, I don't mind if he will have a girlfriend now. The only thing is for him to make sure that their relationship will inspire him to strive harder in life. That his girlfriend will further make him want to succeed.

Must be very smart to be 16 and in college! so he should be smarter not to date yet neeed to meet his goals before then or be at least 19 years of age. really better 21 as to when people say that is adult age hmmmmmmm

i agree with you but I want to encourage my son to be open to me about his life especially that part of his life. That's why I didn't categorically tell him that I don't think he should have a gf at his age.

I believe it is okay for a 16 year old to have a girlfriend/boyfriend as long as its not interfering with education. Your son should be smart enough to know better so you know he'll make the right decision :)

And it's good thing that you know of their relationship. I can see that you have good relationship with your daughters.
