Now the caption says it all! Yesterday I wanted to show my friend a particular movie, something he liked. I checked in my pc. Not there. Well, I will download it. So the thing begins.
Now the link is giving some issue every now and then. Made me invest a lot of time to keep it going. But now my friend has left for his home for Diwali just because this stupid movie took so long to get in my pc!I'm not much interested in the movie. What should I do now? Just delete it from here without any consideration.... what about the investments I made?

don't delete the movie yet. it happens to everyone.the speeds in India are just that type too. it takes heck a lot of time to download a movie and by the time you download it , the mood is gone, the friends are gone. but don't delete the movie , you might as well find some relatives or other friends interested in the movie ,if not now probably in the future.i regret deleting some movies out of rage and anger and i had o waste a lot of time for reproducing them again. after all it takes a bit of hard disk space but a huge amount of time.

Can't you burn the movie to a DVDRW so you can free some space on your hard disk? That's what I normally do. And where did you go to download the movie? Is it a Hollywood movie? I normally download Hollywood movies at this one site and it only takes me like 2 hours to download a one and a half long movie like The Ugly Truth or about 4 hours to download Pelham 123.

I simply store movies on a flash drive, YOU! There is no reason to ever delete something you download from the internet... flash drives are cheap and disks are even cheaper! I also have a three terabyte hard drive I download all five computers onto once a week so we keep the image ever fresh.
Why is your internet so slow? It only takes a few minutes to download a full length movie onto my pc! And then transfer it to my phone for portability.

Oh my.... such an old discussion I can't even recall what movie it was! Horror....ummm...could be ... ha let it be.
Now I have better connection and spacier hard disks, including the one I was having that time. Still I delete a lot... copying back to my family drive if they want.
I live in India....

@hora_fugit Would you prefer I not awaken old threads, YOU?
If it could have been a horror movie, then I wouldn't have downloaded it at all! Those give me nightmares!

Unfortunately I can't earn from it. Too much time for uploading...

see? that's why I don't download movies a lot recently. Many sites provide free online watching. The speed is ok so is the visual effect. And I find one phenomenon that I usually set aside the movies I download and never watch them since there are always there. It's just like books borrowed never been touched for long.

As I stated above, it's a problem related to my connection itself. So, watching online too is not much possible.
That has never happened to me yet ;) I always read books religiously LOL

The problem is that I'm all alone as everyone else has gone home for the vacations. And it's a horror movie. Not that I'm afraid of viewing it alone, but the plot seems oh-no-so-interesting
