Freshly brewed coffee from fresh baked beans with thick milk will taste superb.
Personally, I feel, Starbucks is overrated. It hardly tasted like coffe..
If given a chance, I'd persuade people to go for home brewn coffee made and served with love in a nice personalized cup.. Or in a nice small cafe, with a few cookies and some music and friends to chat up with..
Nothing great about Starbucks.. its just the hype

Yep! sad but true.. Coffees in coffee shops are really expensive. I don't usually have coffee at Starbucks, I enjoy coffee more at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf by the way... lol...
You really are paying for the ambiance of the place and the coffee experience. Its not necessary to go there everyday, surely you'll run out of cash...

I wonder if you would be better off investing that money into a nice coffee maker for your home. You could buy all of the little mixes, and even a grinder and fix the coffee at home.
Maybe you could get one that has a timer on it, then the coffee could be ready for you when you walk into the kitchen in the mornings. Ahh, and the aura would be in your home any time that you made coffee. Plus, it would stick around for hours afterwards. LOL
Plus, you could buy the little creamers and flavor your coffee. You could have a bunch of different flavors available, when friends come over to visit. However, if you were to do this, you must keep in mind, if you have a lot of friends who enjoy coffee as much as you do....you may end up having company constantly. LOL
Hope you have a great day!

hi kafueenu^^;;
since starbucks have already established their name, then it's sure you are buying the brand and not the quality of the coffee. One revelation i heard from a starbucks' worker is that some of the coffee beans they used are those of locally grown in our country...not sure if this is true but hey, would you know if it's really expensive beans or not with all the flavors and creams added?
i agree to the other responses above that you can actually make your own coffee mixes at a much cheaper price.
with the aura? hhmmm free wi-fi i can say, but there's this another cafe that serve the same coffee mixes but the place is much better since there's a live band playing and the ambience is really homey with it's comfortable couches or bean bags.

Yes it's really the name your paying in starbucks. I don't like fancy coffees, I only need three in my coffee. The coffee, sugar and hot water, sometimes I grab some cream too
