Tonight my brother requested if is it okay with me to play music using youtube and he asked for "mad" by Neyo. When the song ended i decided to play slow song since it's quite late so i chose "Four seasons of loneliness" by Boyz II men. While surfing i feel lonely and my tears are about to fall but i have to hold them back because i don't want them to see my crying without any reason... I can't explain why I feel lonely and why such certain songs makes me cry...(deep sigh) Anyone out their experienced the same feeling?

Hello simonelee. I have also had such experiences when listening to some songs that touch my soul. I think that it is very natural for us to cry or feel lonely when it is such a touching song that we listen to.

When the songs you hear is something that relate to your past I feel like crying, lock my self inside the room to pour all those tears and sadness. I hate it when the song i hear used to sang by someone who is so close to my heart. That very moment you feel pain and unexplained sadness.

I remember tearing up after listening to "Someone's Waiting For You" from Disney's the Rescuers. I've listened to the song many times before, but at that particular time, I just watched The Rescuers again after a very long time. Hearing the song made me think about the little orphan girl, and I was surprised to find myself almost crying.

Well, music for me is very infectious and I am easily affected with the melody and lyrics of the music. When it is sad I tend to move slowly which lead me to reflect on it lyrics while listening and prefer to listen to it when I have a lot of worries or when I feel sad for the loss of something like a things or a person. Then, happy song..makes me move fast like giving me inspiration and have more energy to accomplish all my plans for the rest of the day. Music for me reflects life it gives calm and affects the emotions.

yeah, absolutely I am much influenced by music. or my mood decides what kind of music I choose to listen to on the day. There was a time, about a couple of months, that I listened to Chenhuixian's songs time after time. All were sad songs. I could follow all of them, memerozing each word for each song. Then one day, I suddenly decided to step out of it. Consequently my mood changed towards sunlight of course. So next time when we are down, we can use this music therapy. It really works like magic !

Yes, song can make us sad. It depends on the tone and the beats of the song. I feel sad everytime I hear sad song.

All the time. Well, really depends on the mood I am at the time, and if the song reminds me of someone or whatever. But yea, music is a big part of who I am, and I am very emotional anyway, so music can easily influence my mood. Then again, sometimes I can listen to songs that sometimes make me cry, and will feel nothing, so it changes. Also, I like a lot of different stuff, so I try to mix it up a little so I can try to balance out my moods, when I don't it really worsens my depression and I end up worse, so I try to listen to something more upbeat to kinda neutralize sadder songs.

Oh yes, I can relate to that, music certainly has the power to play with our emotions. That is why it is so damn good at elevating us in times of melancholia. I don't know about others, but I'm into this habit of associating music with people and situations, so when I listen to songs some of them do invoke memories buried deep within and they could sometimes turn out to be saddening. But often, they just go as far to get me nostalgic. It is fine to get emotional once in a while, just to be ascertained that you're still human.

Well there are times that when I listen to music I feel lonely. Most especially if the lyrics somehow meant something in my life. They sure do make me cry at times or perhaps make me feel sad as I remember some things that happened in the past.

Same here.. Funny thing, I often hide my tears when a really nice song was being played on a movie scene (like when i'm watching tv and my family is around)..especially those sad songs. I have one song that really makes my heart sad but I still love listening to it because the song is very lovely and the melody is very nice. Its "Officially Missing You" by Tamia.

Sometimes music does make me cry. In particular Christina Aguilera's song Hurt makes me cry. Another song that makes me cry is Carrie Underwood's song Jesus Take The Wheel. Any song or piece of music that is deeply moving always makes me cry when I hear it.

Good music will do that I guess! I think that music can touch certain emotions or take you back somewhere you have been before and that affects how you feel. There are certain pieces of music that are so beautiful they bring tears to your eyes just for their beauty alone and sometimes the words of a song can touch you quite deeply. To answer your question; yes music can certainly make me cry!

Songs truly can affect how we feel. We are created in the image of God who is the author of music. Therefore, we are naturally musically inclined. I am also affected by the kind of music that I hear. I am now very choosy on what kind of music to listen to. Instead of listening to those love songs and very emotional music, I rather chose to listen to christian music just like one of my mylot friend in here. I am just glad to be redeemed and listen to music that only the redeemed can understand. I hope you are now alright.

Oh yes for sure. Especially when someone is singing beautifully and gives me chills, I will cry. I will cry in church if there is music playing. I can't help it I'm such a sensitive person that will cry at a drop of a hat. I just have to hear a beautiful song where the lyrics and music speak to me and I will cry.

sometimes, music could make myself feel what is in the meaning of the song itself. same with you, I can't explain it why.. I think it is because we still have emotion that evolved within us so the music could make some tears out.
