This is the most important component in our PC, this discussion for those are using Desktop pc as well laptop user who got experienced or working with desktops.
TFT is a new technology visual output media and CRT is traditional. But CRT support more graphical interface compared to TFT. While coming to cost, maintenance and reliability.. TFT occupies the top position now.
Which type of monitor do you prefer to use and why?

well my friend till now i have seen that there are some advantage to TFT and there are some disadvantages of CRT. the one big this is that the CRT are resolution independent and so that is soemthing which make me very comfortable. there are times when need to reduce my resolution. But other that than there are all advantages to TFT. smooth on eyes. Less energy requirement. Less space and many more

I am still with CRT, but soon I will change over to TFT. Reason, mordern technology, slim and space saving. Lesser power consumption. Cost- it is still costlier than CRT, but the prices are going down.
My preference, definitely TFT.

TFT monitor absolutely :)
I think even CRT support more graphical interface than TFT, I Still chose TFT..many excess TFT than CRT, something like TFT shape is very slim compared to CRT, TFT still new tech nowadays and they will continue to develop it, and I am sure one day TFT can provide much more better than CRT..even TFT cost more expensive than CRT, I think it worth.
