First of all let me wish all my Hindu brothers and sisters of Mylot as well as all the other Mylot members a very HAPPY DEEPAVALLI.
Do you know that on Deepavalli day we burst crackers through out the day and night in our houses as well as in the public roads. The entire subcontinent revebrates with the sound of Crackers throughout the day.
Small Children and adults as well as male and female wear their new dresses and start firing the crackers right from the early morning. Most of the times, it starts by 4A.M. and continues through out the day and night.
Does any other country celebrates their religious function like this. I think Deepavalli is the only festival in the entire world where celebrations like this happen.
Your valuable comments and responses.

Thanks for the wishes Sanjana, and let me wish you and your the family the same. What happened long time no see.
No I dont think people will understand 'Shasti'. Only a very few Tamils like you remember it. Of course both my wife and mother are die hard Murugan devotees. So the fasting which started in the month of 'Puratasi' still continues.
