This thought just crossed my mind today. Have you heard the news that Willie Revillamie is being courted to run for Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines? That was I think over a week ago. I have nothing against Willie, in fact given all his sports cars, his private helicopter, his own yacht, his mansions, etc. etc. I think he can very well afford it. But if he will choose to run for Vice President would you vote for him? and Why?

I will never vote for Willie Revillame! For heaven's sake, he doesn't know anything about the work of a vice president. It's like Noli de Castro all over again. Why do people always vote for unqualified candidates? When we are sick we go to the doctor because we know that a doctor has the right qualifications to cure our illness. But when we vote for public officials why is being kind and popular enough to elect an official? I'm not saying that kindness is not important. It actually is one of the most important things. But it's not the only important thing. It is also important to have the right qualifications, meaning that a person should have enough knowledge to be elected in public office. I really am in favor of amending the constitution so that only those who have enough knowledge could run for public office.

It would certainly take a long time and money if those who have the knowledge are those that will be allowed to run for public office. But you know Filipino's behavior when it comes to voting for their public officials and willie knows where that "kiliti" is. That's where he is good at. In the long run, it's really up to willie, he could be digging his own grave. Thanks for cheering. Cheers!

I will not vote for him nor support for his candidacy if ever he will be running. I have enough of actors and actress running for a government office. Though there are a few who are quite good in handling government positions but I am sure there are others who are better qualified to handle such position other than being an actor or actress as a qualification.

I wish majority of the would be voters have this mindset. But what can we do? We are very showbiz oriented. And we can't really deny the fact that a lot of people are still wishing for that someone to lead us out of poverty in a blink of an eye. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

I never going to vote him he's not credible and he don't have an experience. I don't think he can win he going to waste his money if I were him I'm going to use my money to help others who are in need. There are many ways to help aside from running in the politics.

Well if that is true I will not vote for him. I dont like Willie and excuse me for the fans of him here in mylot. Didnt you see the way he treated his poor guest in his show? He is not a descent man, he is a pervert and always take advantage to his sexy and pretty guest. Is that kind of person who wants to be the second ruler of my country? I dont think so.

for me, i wouldnt vote for him. Even if he has given so much to our brothers and sisters especially those who are in need via his noon time show. I still would think that he is not fit for the country. I mean, look at his life. His miserable life. Im not saying just because he has already achieved what he wants.. nice cars, helicopter, yacht, mansions and malls.. i think he is still even unhappy. he cant even find a good direction of his life. Look at his childrens.. his ex wives.. and he had been on a lot of cases.. so, i wouldnt vote for him cause he cant even manage his own life, how can he even manage a country..??

Hmm, yeah looks like the mass love him, but hell no. There is no way that I am going to vote for him. I don't know their reason, but money and fancy sport cars do not seem to be a very reason for a person to vote for him in this following election. It should be wise that we should think about this more often..

hello ybong007,
well to be frank, i will not vote for him. for one, he has no experience and knowledge whatsoever in running a country. he is good in hosting and i have no question to that. but entering into politics, i think he is not qualified at all. if he wants to help other people, he can do it in his own way.
money is not that matters in politics but knowledge. our country needs someone who is really capable and not just by anyone who is fame.

I am sure that if he ever does he decide to run for the vice presidency is that he thought of his decision real hard and has the best intentions at heart. But good intentions are just good intentions, sometimes they aren't just enough. And I hate to see Willie disappoint most common people who look up to him. Maybe the next day, if Willie fails the people's expectations of him, they might not have good things to say about him.
Running for the vice presidency is too big a step and may just show how ambitious Willie has become, and may have gone too far ahead of himself. I wish him the best of luck in his political plans. And no, I wouldn't vote for him for the vice presidency, maybe for mayor .

no. i just don't think that he is qualified, according to my own personal standards.. people should not base their choice on the candidate's popularity, money, etc. he may be good at what he is doing now but it shouldn't follow that he is already qualified a seat in politics, much more the second highest position of the land. someone please advise him honestly not to run?

Willie of wowowie for vice president?. I don't think so... If ever he runs, I will not vote for him. Though I know he helped lots of people already... I still believe he is not capable enough to handle such big responsibility. I think he can help more people by staying where he is right now.

Well if he runs... I will definitely not vote him. He is a good host and comedian and that's it... I am not judging him but I really don't see him as a good politician...

Yes, I think VP is way too high for him as of this time. I guess WOWowee Philippines will just have to wait a bit longer. But I think it's just a matter of time before this guys joins politics, signs are all over him. But we'll see. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

yes, there rumors that villar may just get revillame as his vp because nobody seems willing to be villar's vp. if this is true, then we can see the desperation of villar and his machinations to exploit revillame's purported popularity or infamy for that matter. how could you imagine revillame as a vice president of the republic with all the acts unbecoming of a gentleman and as an educated being he showed and bragged about in his pathetic noontime show?

Not in a million years. Willie can't just wowowee his way in Malacanang if ever he would win. He would just be the next Erap if ever that would happen. Can't these politicians do better than that - taking advantage of another person's fame just win votes. Fame and politics are two different things. Politics could give rise to fame but fame would only give rise to a new Erap.

I think Willie should just stick in being a gagman and a host. I feel that he won't do good if ever he runs for VP. I mean, what would he do there? Give 500 pesos to everyone? I don't know why he is even courted to run for VP. I don't think he has the qualities for a politician and I don't think he knows anything about politics and other stuff. But if he would run, I think he would win. I mean, the masses love him and these people constitute the majority of our country so it's not impossible for him not to win.

Well I would not if he would. I think he is good at his hosting a noon time TV show but running a country even as a VP is still a questionable for me if he indeed is capable of doing that. If he wants to become a politician then start at a lower position like a councilor or a Mayor perhaps and from there he can show to the public what he can do and test his leadership skills from there.

I don't think so. I will not vote for Willie Revillame. Lets be more intellectual in choosing our elected officials in our government ybong007. Lets not base our votes on how much money a person have. Let us know something about the guy first. Is he/she deserving of the post. Is he/she a viable candidate? Can he/she help the majority of the people, the masses, of our country? Do they have a drive to be a good leader for our country? These are a few of basic but intelligent questions to answer in selecting our leaders.
Will you vote for him? That is a wasted vote my friend.

The answer is no, no and no Philippine politics is already a circus, we don't need another one that would literally make it a carnival
