so erap has finally declared he'll be running for president again. this, despite the fact that he's a pardonee, meaning a convicted felon as he was found by the courts to be guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of plunder (he was found to have profited (but acquitted him of perjury!) but he was not sent to jail to serve his reclusion perpetua sentence because he was pardoned by gloria arroyo no less, and so he was set free and here he was again gunning to return to malacanang!
(note: for clarificatory purposes, erap was convicted of plunder, in which case, "People of the Philippines vs. Joseph Ejercito Estrada et al" or Criminal Case No. 26558, is composed of four separate charges, namely: 1. acceptance of P545 million from jueteng proceeds, 2. misapproriation of P130 million from tobacco exise tax, 3. receiving P189.7 million commission from the sale of Belle Corporation shares, and 4. owning P3.2 billion in a bank account under the name Jose Velarde.)
so do you vote for him, yet, again?

YES... I would not vote for him We can't really deny the fact that he is very popular with the masses. We may object it greatly here but we can't really control how the elections would turn out.

That's what we all are afraid of, that somehow Erap might be able to sneak through the elections because of his popularity with the common folk. I just pray that somehow his common people-supporters would realize that Erap did not accomplish anything to really help them, all he accomplished was rob them of the opportunities. That somehow people would realize that Erap has been given his day and failed at it.

Definitely, NO. I will not vote for him. Although, I never vote him ever since. In my opinion, he is and was not a good leader. If he would finally file his candidacy, I would consider him a nuisance candidate. I just hope Filipinos should not waste their vote for a candidate who is not worthy to run the country. We should have learned from what is happening to the country fro years.

Never, although he is claiming that he is innocent of the accusation but the fact that the courts have made a decision on his case just means that he is guilty already. His claims that he was pardoned already is just giving humanitarian for his being a former president but it did not mean that all the court judgment was erased for the record. I really think that he is not eligible to run anymore because of this but it seems everybody is mum about this case and no one seems to be interested to question his move.

Of course not. I just don't trust that guy. Once trust is lost, it can never be regained back. He should just forget his dream of going back to his throne coz he won't make it. He was convicted of plunder before. Now, it's the Bubby Dacer case. He is also a gambler. What can the country expect from this man?

hello saluyot,
No, there's no way am gonna vote again for this man. although i wasn't a register voter back when he was still just the president but this time it will be different. i think the people who should be blamed is those who voted for him, and not every one because they didn't realize the gravity of this situation.

It's just like having your entertainment set looted then you buy a new one and then having it looted again by the same thief. When can we ever learn? Or is the lesson there and we just ignore it because of the person's "appeal" (if erap ever has one....even my dog won't bother to bark at him)?

Of course not. I will not vote for him. In the first place, I never voted for him way back then. There is no reason for me now to vote most especially that I have seen how he handled the Presidency. Well, frankly, I could not decide on who to vote this coming elections. They are all the same. I am losing hope for our country.

I still have my brain inside my head so i dont vote him and i would never dare. i really felt awful to the people who are planning to vote him. I believe that he doesnt do anyhting good in our country when he is still a president. He just robbed our country to sustain his vices and his women.

Nope, I never voted for him before and will never vote for him ever. The Philippines needs change specially in politics and I'm banking on the younger ones. Erap had been in politics for like forever, but did he brought about change? From Mayor to President... that's a lot of opportunity for someone to make a difference, I mean not everyone could be given the same amount of luck to be given that same amount of trust like Erap had. But where are we now? When he won the presidency, I thought OK, give him a chance perhaps majority of the people know better than me. Well it turned out otherwise. But then again, I could be wrong this time.

I will never vote for a person like that. Let's see who among the candidates are more deserving.
