When I was young, the schools conduct flag ceremonies every morning where everyone pay respect to the flag. The same is true in many offices and government institutions. Times have changed and I don't see them done nowadays. Can this be a factor that lessens the sense of nationalism amongst the youth of today? Are flag ceremonies still conducted where you are? Is this an important ceremony? what do you think?

I also noticed that flag ceremonies are not that practiced anymore. Nowadays, it is mostly done only on Modays or Fridays. I don't know with schools now. I think it is important because it is a sign of nationalism and more like remembering who we really are.

i am aware that schools here still conduct flag ceremonies on monday mornings and even flag retreats on friday afternoons. we do that in our place of work, too. we have our usual monday morning flag raising ceremonies and flag retreats on fridays. our attendance is checked during the conduct of these activities. attending these activities reminds us of being filipinos and in a way contributes to our sense of nationalism. i see this as an important ceremony. people and vehicles still stop to pay respect to the flag while being raised and brought down.

If you're a filipino, surely you'll see flag ceremonies being conducted in different schools and same in most local government. Even in where i work now, we still have the flag ceremonies conducted every week. And I think it's not just those ceremonies that is the factor that lessens the sense of nationalism but a lot more like the culture adaptation and influence from other countries.
