Where to look for my computer's IP number?

Hi,
I am using a Desktop with windows XP operating system.
Also I am using a Laptop with windows vista operating system.
I want to know my Computer's IP numbers.How I can find out?

yeah they were right..Just type the "ipconfig" in the command prompt then you will the IP address of your system.

There are bunch of websites like whatismyip.com, myipaddress.com etc to find your IP address online. Alternatively press Windows key + R to open "RUN" command window. Type cmd and hit enter. In the DOS command prompt type ipconfig and press enter to execute the command. This will show you the windows IP configuration information. It is listed as "IPV4" address. The first method always works.

Here is a web address that my friend uses, she has told me about it a bunch of times and tells me that it is free. I have never used it personally myself so I can't say how good or bad it is but you can give it a try it you would like here is the address:

hello muru1950 there is also another method to know your intenet protocol address...
here it comes
follow the steps
1. goto run
2. type command.com
3. type ipconfig/all
4. ypur ip address comes to the dos screen..
5. sit back and njoy
