My all time favorite is Age Of Empires. The Interface, characters, network support, liveness and ability to play in ease...all I got in the game. May be this is a bit old one rather than other contemporary games, but if anyone wants to know about my all time favorite computer game, the first name comes in my mind is AOE. What is your favorite computer game and why do you like it so much?

POP is an amazing game indeed . Wow... it comes at number 2 of my fav. list. I enjoyed always whenever I played the game. I used to play the warrior within and I played at least 20 times to get out of a stage where I had to kill the monster and run across the wall, it was really hard I remember. Anyways, which game is topping your list? Is it POP?

Yes, my all time fav. is Age of Empires. I liked to play Tomb Raider, Midtownmadness, Project IGI and COD also. Mostly I prefer to play games which are full of strategy, adventure and thrill. Thats why I liked to play Age Of Empires. I still remember we used to play the game in the local network for hours and it became a daily routine. Among all the releases of AOE, I liked AOE II most. We used to call the game as animated chess.

i used to play Diablo II and Expansion versions.
I love the game and had tried almost all the characters and played it over and over.
I don't play any games now that requires time to finish but i heard that Diablo III is coming and i am waiting for it.
i also liked NeedForSpeed, though i don't actually drive in real life.

So its Diablo in your mind all the time. I never had a chance to play Diablo. Hearing from you It seems that I should play the demo very soon. And yes... Need for Speed is also a great racing game. I think you have played Midtown Madness also. It was also a marvelous game with superb graphics and animation.

To this day I play Age of Empires II, so it's funny you mentioned the first one. Some computer games are simply classics and cannot be put away for good!
My favorite computer game to this day is Dungeon Keeper 2. It was released in 1999. You build dungeons, raise creatures, and fight off the other dungeon keepers and/or the force of good. Other than short breaks, I have played this game on and off for ten years. It is one of the best made games I've ever come across. The graphics were great for its time. There were limitless possibilities to the size and shape of your dungeon's rooms, the creatures you allowed into your dungeon...you could put enemy creatures into prisons and make them skeletons, as an added bonus. It's such a beautifully made game that just a year ago I found out some more secrets I didn't know even though I've been playing it for a decade now.
All three Age of Empires were great, but the second was my favorite. I still play that to this day. The Sims 2 is great, but I had the most fun with the Sims when I had the first game with every expansion pack (it made our entire computer lag!). I love Popcap's Bejeweled 2 and Insaniquarium. Those two never get old.
Good discussion question! It makes me want to go build a dungeon...

I agree with you that the third one was extremely impressive. I've never seen such beautiful rippling water in a videogame! I thought you were speaking of the first one, but instead I feel you were talking about the second one. That game had so many options...you could play as so many different wonderful civilizations and pretty much have anyone on your side. It's a great game.
I'm glad I could interest you in Dungeon Keeper! I played the game disc so much I ruined it, and then bought the computer I have now and it couldn't have played anyway because of the required system. Since the game is so old I believe you have to find an Iso file of the game, burn it to CD (which is legal because there are no longer copyright issues involved; it has to do with both the age of the product and the fact that the companies no longer own the title to it), and then install it. It is very worth it!

I am very glad to know that you loved and played AOE too. I think AOE III is impressive but AOE II was the best. There is no doubt also that AOE II became one of the definitive real time strategy games ever. There are so many games I have heard about and wished to play a lot of times, but never got encouraged. After hearing from you I wish I should start playing Dungeon Keeper also....
Thanks for sharing your views

Yeah The Sims 2 graphic and tools really much better than the sims first edition, but for me, I play for the sims first edition almost 2 years till a second or third expansion, then The Sims 2 released, I tried for the sims 2, no much different for gameplay, so I just played the sims 2 until have a baby.

I also like Age of Empires and i have played all the versions of that game and i really like it. But other than this game i also like cricket 2007 which i feel is very nice and i can get completely immersed in that game. and now recently i got Devil May Cry 4 and i can tell you one thing - "Its awesome". Man what a game. the character is dam cool. The world is amazing inside the game. The moves, the powers, the weapons are simply amazing and then you can do so many combos and all. All in all these three are the best for me.

Among the sports I have played Cricket 2007, Tennis and Fifa 2009. Among all of them I liked FIFA most. Me and one of my friends used to play in a single Computer I can still remember. The old FIFA game had be configured as to play with keyboard as well as mouse at a time. So we used to take 2 teams taking one with keyboard and other with the mouse and played a lot of times. I have not played yet the game Devil may cry... I think I should try that.

Yes, I have played Diablo II Lord of Destruction. It is one of the games where the maps and properties of the characters and item drops are randomly generated. There is a good story too. Most of the times I have played in the normal or nightmare mode. The hell level is one of the toughest kind of levels I have ever played in games.

Now that I've had a try with online games, I much prefer the online to the offline games. It is much fun to interact with real people over the program than with NPCs. I can have a debate with them and play with a party. I am currently playing Luna Online because of it's cute characters and cute dance moves. Though I said dancing, it is more on fighting monsters like in Ragnarok and the common games. The graphics is wonderful and the attack moves are cool.
There you can have a group called family, party, and friends. It's like an online dating game too(for those who are looking for girl friends and boy friends)...

Yes Online games are really fun. Probably they are so popular because they use amazing graphics and technology, they are simple and interesting as well as they invoke interest due to the the story in them. I also like to play online games but most of the time I play with computer and always try to play in the toughest mode possible. Thus I take pretty good amount of time to complete a game but always I get the full essence of the games.
I think playing in Local network is also a fantastic way of playing where you can see all the players and their expressions, shouts and instant challenges, that's wonderful indeed. Probably I have the best experiences while playing games is when I used to play games with my friends in LAN.

My favourite game is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Perhaps there are not many people who are familiar with this game. The story may have been linear, but that doesn't mean kotor lacked of replaying value. In fact, your decision to stick with the light side or join the dark completely changed how you played this game, thus cementing it as one of my favorites. For its great attraction, I spent much time on it. Of course, it is really a waste of time when I come back to watch it again.
It is one way to look for fun if you can't get addicted to some games.

Honestly I do not have any addiction, if playing games is called an addiction then I think that I am addicted. However, I have to play the demo of Star Wars. Those who are especially fan of Star Wars series like to play the games also. As I started playing the game Mummy for sometimes after watching the movie. Same thing happened with spiderman also.

If I need to play online flash games and others I go to KadoKado. Anyways I would like to Play Farmville very soon. Anyways..., do you have any favorite from any contemporary games like AOE, POP, Diablo, Halo, Project IGI etc?

If you ask me my all time favourite would be Prince of Persia. From the original classic Prince of Persia, The Shadow & The Flame, to the modern 3D Prince of Persia like the Sands of Time, Warrior Within & The Two Thrones. I remember back the early 90s when we got our first family computer with the 2D Prince of Persia pre-installed with it. How I got so addictive those days. Its actually the first computer games I've played in my gaming life. I wonder if Ubisoft is working on another title of Prince of Persia. They are so busy with the Assassin's Creed franchise these days. Any ideas?

I loved to play the 2D versions, you may also remember the game called Roadrash also. They are absolutely fantastic and entertaining too. Sometimes when I get bored I play those games to remember those old days. Yes you are right, they are much on Assassin's Creed I think. Have you played Assassin's Creed 2? Anyways,I think they are working on another new POP with new gameplay story and characters. Because after E3 2008, there is no release, so it is expected that they are going to release a new one very soon with more realistic and illustrative styles. I am curious too about what they are cooking nowadays.

Commandos? I think I have played the demo version of the game. At first when I started to play I faced some problems with the movement of the soldiers. Later I tried to play it again and having too much trouble crossing the stages I just stopped playing the game for long time. I am Glad to know that you are an AOE lover too.

Well I dont really like downloading computer games to my computer because they cause my computer to malfunction MMORPG games, but I do still enjoy playing other computer games like bejeweled 2 and some others, but I try to avoid downloading anything especially game software that takes up to much space.

I do not download games too often. I play the games which comes freely with PC magazines, and most of them are Demo versions. But still I get the flavour of the game playing the trials. They never created any problem on my computer. Yes, if you download any game from any unknown site, there are always possibilities to get infected. So Most of the time I like to play the demo versions first from the Publisher's site. If I like the game, I go for it and look for some offers in the market to buy them from the genuine dealers.

Little Fighter. The most addictive game. Whenever I install the game, I tend to spend too much playing it. And since its an fighting game I have to press the buttons rapidly. After few hours of play my fingers begins to hurt.
I have tried other games like Age of Empire, Command and Conquer, FIFA etc. But I like Little Fighter the most.

Right! Sometimes the game requirements are too high. As they need to maintain the same quality as in PS2 and XBox etc., the games are going to be more system specific. I use softwares like 3D analyzer to play some games which does not match the requirements with my PC.

Yeah, GTA series really very nice, big map, do anything you want in the game, punch NPC, stole car, etc etc. Simple story, owned all city, complete all challenges, especially San Andreas edition, the biggest map from all GTA series, even from GTA4 (that's I read from reviewer), coz I never try GTA4 before.
