Getting to Know Others Through the Internet

There are different sites that would allow you to get to know some other people like facebook, twitter, myspace and even mylot. I really found it amusing how many friends I made this past few years but never got the chance to meet them in person, since most of them are half way around the world.. Did you ever get the chance to intimately know this person and meet online? I do agree, sometimes it may be a bit risky if you decide to meet that person.. Maybe that is one of the reasons why i prefer to stay friends online, keep the barriers that way.

If I got the chance to meet the person face to face, why not? I had a good friend from the internet before and we had friendship for few years then, not until she became too busy and me as well. But sometimes we still exchange emails and we really never meet in person. Having distant friends or internet friends are good...

That's nice to know. Yeah I have this distant friend as well, and get the chance to communicate through MSN. Never even met them in person but we constantly communicate through MSN.. Thanks for sharing.. :)

hi amaine^^;; i've never been much into online social site except friendster but added friends i only know. mylot is my first social site that i'm having interaction with people around the globe. if i would have a chance to meet my friends here then why not. Though i may not be that confident to face them haha and you said it may not be safe but i guess it's not bad to take someone with me if ever i would meet them.
