sometimes i feel so overwhelmed by the things i need to do in a day. i work online doing transcription work which takes up most of my day. i have a son who is in preschool. i have a small store infront of the house to help make ends meet. sometimes i feel like 24 hours a day is not enough to get everything done.
sometimes my house is like a tornado just passed by because of all my sons toys lying around. i feel like i really do need a break from all of it but i can't find the time to unwind.
how do all the working moms out there cope with this. any insight is much appreciated.

I hire nannies. I also had a hard time before to balance everything. When I focused on my job I took my kids for granted, when I focused on my kids I took my work for granted. So I hire nannies who makes life easier for me.

i actually can relate because i experienced this when i was full of projects online. try one of the following suggestions to cope up:
1. schedule your time based on priorities. everyone knows that we only have 24hours a day so try to make a fix schedule for a certain task so as not to disregard other important things to do in a day.
2. we call it division of labor. try not to get all the work. hire someone else to do certain task.
3. do not worry too much. sometimes worrying can stress you out and this adds to the trouble in a day.
4. set aside a time to take a break by really deciding to have one. if you are the store owner and you take charge of your time in your online job, then have it your way to take a break. you set your own rules anyway so why not make a rule to set aside time to take things easy.
hope i helped. God bless

They hire a nanny and a maid.
Seriously, you ask a very good question. Unfortunately I don't have a realistic answer for you. I find it hard enough to cope with work and family life, and I don't have any kids.
I'll try to come back to see if anyone else has a good answer.
Good luck to you!
