I check my blog just now, I have only 163 blog posts in one blog, and much lesser in my second blog post.
I aim to reach the 1000th blog post mark within five years, since I doubt I have the ability to update it daily.
How many blog posts are there in your blog? How would you feel if you reach 1000th blog post? Do you think you will suffer from writer's block or burnout before reaching the 1000th blog post?

I have 409 blog posts on a locked blog. I thought of re-opening this one back; still thinking. And on my profile blog, I have around 169 posts and running. It would be really awesome if I could finally have 1000 blog posts in 1 particular blog. Then I shall need 1 time read for all 1000 posts and I could get 1000 impressions already. LOL.......of course, that's a lame statistic count. Just saying.. . At the rate I'm going, I'm updating 1-2 per day. So it will take roughly 400-900 days more to reach that. I'll be needing a year and more definitely. If I could speed up, perhaps 6 months. But then, no time to update all the time.

I've joined Technorati and promoted them there. And for those other links, thanks..
Actually I've a bugging question. I read on some blogs that providing external links to your blog can pull down the page ranks. But some say it won't, even with a 100 links even. What say you..? My initial thought is that by providing external links, there can tend to be some back-links in that sense. But they say, it will only pull down the page ranks.

You are indeed very knowledgeable in this.
That makes sense. No wonder some have external links and their page ranks do not go down. So your efforts are fruitful then. I'm going to have to look for a higher pr too and comment. And more Hubpages commenting, I suppose. Here's one to us.., hopefully it will be more fruitful than ever.

i think it's good to have two blogs, and let them provide links to each other. Have you submitted to technorati and blogcatalog? Both provide backlinks to your blog posts by their tagging system.
By the way, check out makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot, problogger.net, shoemoney.com too.

I really do not know. Cos as of now, I am already struggling to keep the blogs I started updated all the time.
I guess it really depends on the topic nature of your blog. If you are into niche topics, it would be tough to get writing once you are done covering most of the areas in the niche you are catering to.
On the other hand, if you are always blogging about everyday things like movie reviews, news gripes, recipes... etc, you will never get tired of writing cos the material will always be new.
1000 blog post eh? That is an achievable goal. I wonder how long it would take for me to reach that post count. Maybe that would be the goal for next year come resolution time! :)

Aiyoh... what to do? After I started the blog, my job got me so sapped, I hardly have the energy to think when I knocked off from work.
I am already planning and scheduling some articles for my blog already. Hopefully, the readership will improve once I am back to my one article a day target!

If cannot write so much, then use PLR articles lor.
I use PLR articles and do a major rewrite, so much so that the content becomes 100% original.
Bo bian lah, search engines do not like duplicate conent. I think I'm really good at stretching the words, a 400 words PLR article become 800 words post, sometimes even exceed 1,000 words.
You should take a look at Hubpages. They have very good guides on writing seo articles, such as 1,500 words!

Hi Sallysue, I can't imagine having two blogs and have more than a hundred blog posts in each blog when I just started blogging.
That's why I am quite surprised to see the number of blog posts. I have no doubt that if we just blog everyday or write a few blog posts and schedule for future publishing, we can reach the 1000th soon.

HEHE. People have so much to talk about I doubt anyone runs out of stuff to say. They may not make the connection that they could put all the stuff into words, but I bet everyone has something to say that they didn't know they could blog. Not too many people will give intimate details of their life, such as whose sick and who has what ailment or problem. If they wanted to share they would never run out of blogging material.

haha Mommaj, most people dont talk about their immediate families, they just gossip about everyone and anyone else.
If you see a cashier looking unhappy, you can blog about how sickening her husband is, and whatever gossip you can make up and get away with.
Just hope you dont put in the names oh, otherwise you will end up in hospital for every blog post that you make.

I can't believe how long ago this was! No wonder I thought I had not responded previously. You know I now have a long list of blogs and all of them need updating.

Wow, that's a lot! Wouldnt it be better to space out the blog posts?
Even though sometimes I can write a few blog posts per day, I schedule it so that I dont post so many in a day, and then zero post the next day.
I hope you dont seriously suffer from burnout, your blog is very lively and active. Hope you can continue to write at consistent and stable rate.

I dont have many in my blog -hardly some 7 or 8 posts scheng. I cant imagine 1000 posts in my blog. But, to tell you the truth I ever knew I can attempt creative writing earlier; only after interacting in this forum my thoughts went to that area.I knew I can write something on my subject related questions but AC brought out something else too.So, if thsiis is possible ,who knows 1000 may also be possible!!!!!!!!! am not dedicated enought to make it my full time occupation and I cannot type that much too.

haha Kalav, you are funny! Most people have problem writing articles for AC and other writing sites, but have no problem with blogging.
After blogging is like a personal journal, you can rant about the rotten vegetables you got from the supermarket, you can curse at the cockroaches and rats which refuse to leave you in peace.
Most bloggers blog as if they are gossiping with their friends. I think you take blogging as a serious writing, that's why you are not incline to increase your blog posts.

Well numbers are numbers. For me, quality is most important. Quantity is for lesser people.
I feel even with 1 blog post you can generate lot of interest and ensure that the post is useful.
If you have visited my blog http://goodfundsadvisor.blogspot.com and then you will notice that I hardly have 1 post per week average, but you will also notice that my posts generate lot of interest and hits.
So, quality is more important.
Numbers come automatically as you keep on posting.
In search of higher numbers, do not compromise quality.
As for me, I have not yet counted how my blog posts I have till now, but sentimentally, 1000 posts would make feel good.

scheng, I maintain 2 blogs, one for myself, and one for my baby. I have also just check the number of post, and it's till below the 200 mark! These blogs have only been active for the last 4 to 5 months, and I am actually quite happy with it.
Well, I don't want to put a far target in order to motivate myself to continue in the blogsphere, therefore, I would say with every 200 posts, I am happy for both. I will work towards this target, and hopefully it will be a good one..

Hi Cwong, I'm sure you have no problem hitting the 200th post or 2000th post for the blog about your baby.
Parents seem to talk non-stop about their babies! And babies are such destructive creatures, able to tear the whole house down, and cry loud enough to sink the Titanic.
I guess with passion for living, and for your family, you will reach the first 200th blog post soon, and soon, the 2,000th blog post.
