how to get more traffic to your blog

hello mylotters! i just created a blog. i am a newbie to blogging and i have no idea what to do about the blog i created. how do i get traffic to my blog? thanks in advance.

1.Take part in forums related to your blog and put the blog address in the signature box with a cool title. 2.Give relevant answers in yahoo answers and give the blog link in the source box. 3.Make a video of something relating to your blog and post it on youtube with your blog address. 4.Last but not the least optmize with search engines finding relevant keywords
