Do you remember when you bought your computer...?
I remember the day also. It was August 21st 2006 evening 5:30...! I never forget this day because I am very fond of computer...! From my childhood I love computer just because I can play lots and lots of games by sitting cooly...! Till now my computer runs fine and really happy for this. Many says that computer will be running good for only 2 years after that at least a service is needed. But my computer has a healthy life...!
Do your computer have a healthy life...? Else you spent some money for the hospitalization...?

Mine is much older than yours, it's more than 6 years old and was bought in 2003. It was working all well for a few years before the UPS broke down. I had it repaired, the battery was defunct and it was replaced, but then again after an year or so it failed again - this time it was no changing the battery or anything, I scrapped it for a brand new UPS from APC. Now it seems my CRT monitor is also nearing its demise, the display is becoming tinted, although intermittently, yet it hasn't gotten on my nerves so much to have it replaced. But yeah, a LCD monitor is sure on the cards, maybe my first new year purchase or even before if need be.

I think I got my computer around this time last year. I haven't had much luck with computers. This one is not very good. I'm already in search of a new computer. Vista is pretty bad. When I first got it I thought people were wrong about Vista. I slowly learned how slow and annoying its quirks really are.

Hey its better to use Xp with an antivirus... It helps you to run the computer for longer time without any problem.

The life of computer depends on how does the owner run it.
If the owner has limited computer knowledge, don't know how to against virus, don't know how to install/unstall software, access illegal website more often, etc, the computer will break down soon.
you must be a good computer user.
I bought my pc in 2005 and it has been run well till now.

I bought my current computer in August of 2004. I was going away to college, so that was my first big purchase. 5 years later and it is still running, but definitely showing it's age. I can play games on the internet fine, but I can't play the new Sims, or anything like that! I will say that I haven't spent a dime on computer repair... only because I have been able to fix the problems myself!

i bought my current PC in 2004.
for now,i can still work on it with some non-line editor software.
i think if u do not play the latest pc game on it ,there's no need to upgrade frequently...

You are right that we donr need to updrage the system if we dont play. But playing game is the major reason for everyone to hav a system...! So without upgrading our system we cant do a better job withit...!
As an electronics engineer... I say that technology grows double in every 6 months...! And it has reached the nano technology currently...

My computer is almost 2 years old. I bought it just before christmas as a family gift. I bought it really reasonable from my neighbor who is a computer expert. He built it for me and does any work that needs to be done. So far I have had very few problems with it...knock on wood. Also got high speed internet hooked up at the same time. What a difference between that and dial-up. Unfortunately, there is quite a difference in the cost as well.

The day i bought my computer is December 31st2005 evening i remember. That is the day before the new year`s day .I also remember how crowed in the computer store and how can i carry my new computer out of the store with my roommate and how long we wait for the taxi beside the road.It was raining and so cold ,when we got to the school we were all wet .But the first thing in the bedroom is open the computer and sing in the game which i played four years and still go on now. That I often want to buy a new computer but the old one is still work well and i have emotion with it now.

Hi chandramoulee^^;;
i had my desktop computer bought November 2000 and runs fine until now. it is not fast as my laptop but it is fine for microsoft office and other simple applications or games that don't require high graphics or memory. i am not using it now because i have my laptop which i just bought few months back but i am planning to give it to my 10year old sister for her to learn and practice.
My parents bought that desktop for me at a costly price so i really took care of it and it was really helpful for me for research projects in college.

our first computer with the MS-DOS operating system was bought sometime in 1992. then the second one was bought sometime in 1999. we just had to buy a second-hand monitor to replace the damaged monitor. it is still working until now. it is still very functional and useful for the children's assignments. we were gifted with a laptop by my sister in august 2008. that is what i am using for mylot...

Well, I bought my laptop in 2006 too! It has been serving me well since then, either in office environment or in dusty petroleum field environment. I even have been left it turned on for days on and it still run well. It is a Toshiba laptop :)

wow..old one :) but your computer's age is not much different with mine @_@ but I don't know exactly what date but it's in the middle year of 2006. And I always use my computer for gaming till now, only once I upgraded it for better VGA card. But recently I feel my computer process slower. But don't mind it because I just try last release Batman Arkham Asylum game, and still run smoothly but in medium resolution.

I bought my first pc in 1995, it was a pentium pc i guess, i'm not sure it's been so long. I change my pc every two years as it becomes outdated and some new softwares cannot run on older machines. I try to defrag my hdd every three months and run registry repair monthly. I also update my os as soon as updates are available.

I have a computer at home and we bought it in 2004,but i do not remember the month and date.Since it is my brother who wanted computer at that time so he insisted for one.i hardly showed any interest but now computer has become a part of my routine and i just love spending time with it.Any service to be done for our computer my brother does it himself as he has a pretty good knowledge about that,we have never given for service outside but we have changed the monitor. Now we have a flat screen monitor, before we had small black and white monitor.
