I recently saw a movie in 3d at the theaters and it was awsome. Everything looked like it was right there in front of you. In some parts of the movie it looked like things were jumping out at you. The movie was more entertaining seeing it in 3d. When you go they have you put on these nerdy looking glasses. It is well worth the money to see the movie in 3d. I guarentee you and your kids will love it. I will definetly go see another 3d sometime.

No. I have seen a movie in 3D at home though... wasn't all that spectacular.
However this one time years ago we went to Hershey Park, an amusement park. There was a 3D show there, and it was awesome! There was a part where it was raining, and you actually felt like it was raining in the whole theater. That was so cool.

i have seen 3d movies several times with my son but i personally do not enjoy it because i wear glasses as it is and then in order to see i have to put the 3d glasses over my glasses and it is just not comfortable and they keep falling off. i think the effects of 3d are great but for me it is awkward.

I have ever watched 3d-movie, and even 4-d movie. Yes, I agree with you that watching 3d-movie is very very interesting. But sometimes it might be difficult for those who have slightly problem with their eyes to suit the 3-d glasses on them. When I was watching it with my friends who had trouble with their eyes, they complained after the movie that 'it was just the same as the normal movie'. =)

Hi :) Recently I saw two 3D digital movies, and I can say it really awesome :) The first one I have seen was Ice Age 3, the second one was G-Force (I really love these animated movies). I think it's a very good "invention", and moreover - it's really funny, although the ticket price is a bit higher. But time to time it's ok :) I can only recommend it to all of you (just think some sensitive people can get a weak feeling of nausea for the first time seeing it..:))

I have seen one movie in 3D at a theatre before. I do not go to the movies very often to see more of them. We usually watch television through satellite or rent movies now.

Not at the theater, but I watched "Journey to the center of the earth" (2008) with a friend the other day. He had bought a special edition on DVD, and it came with a 3D bonus version in addition to the main DVD, and four pair of glasses, the old type.
The movie was disappointing. I did not expect much from the ancient 3D glasses and cheap FX, but the actors were almost as bad and the movie was forgettable.
I look forward to the new 3D TV technology to enter the home market in a couple of years from now. We won't need to wear glasses to see the 3D effect, but only one or very few major companies have a working prototype as we speak.
One day everybody will have a real 3D TV in their living-room and their children never saw old fashion CRT TVs and refuse to watch anything in 2D. I was hoping that Virtual Reality would be IT, though it is fascinating to see how 3D TV seem to be a stepping stone on the way toward full VR.
The last time I got to try VR was in one of those platforms in various amusement parks. It was big, ugly and controlled by an Amiga 4000. The graphics was lacking, but the sensation of actually looking and moving around in a virtual 3D world, was incredible. I participated in a virtual and rather insane car race, missed an opponent and screeched into the wall on the opposite side of the arena. The collision in turn made my car bounce, with me still in it, high above the ground. I turned my head to the left and looked down.. bystanders following my actions on external screens gasped loudly as they watched in horror. Down there, I saw lots of tiny dots buzzing around in a circle-shaped area, and I was wondering what.. oh, wait; it's growing larger.. *screams*. I think I actually closed my eyes for a second. Poor graphics, but what a thrill!
VR is what I'm really waiting for, in terms of games and entertainment, but until then, 3D is the next big thing, there is no doubt about that, and I look forward to the day when we get a real 3D TV in our house :)

I don't have the experience of watching such 3d at the theaters. How I wish I can watch too, so that i can also feel what you felt when you had the experience.

i have seen "harry potter and half blood prince" in 3D (IMAX) when it was shown in the philippines. It was fun and really entertaining. unfortunately, only 20 minutes of the movie was IMAX compatible or in 3D. its kind of disappointing. i would watch movies in IMAX someday when its the whole movie. :)

No, I haven't try this option. When we visit it to watch Ice Age months ago, we're provided with this option but I wanted to pass. It must fun to try but I only want to watch the movie normally at that time. Maybe I can try that some other time. And it must be funny to wear that glasses.

We go to IMAX theaters to see those documentary type films in 3D - and it's absolutely cool!! About a month ago we saw a 3D film about under the sea with my 4 year old. It was her first 3D movie and she was so wowed over it . . . sometimes it scared her because the sharks and certain scary fish jumped out at her - ha ha! I don't normally wear glasses, so it's really hard for me to sit through a whole film with these things on my face, but certainly it's well worth it otherwise! My husband and I also saw a space one long ago, and that was great too (I think it was called Blue Planet).
