The cure for ignorance is knowledge. So, if ignorance is left untreated, does it become stupidity?

Caught me there! OK, let me try to think. Suppose I don't know about the mechanism of how an aeroplane fly, does that make me stupid? i guess, not but if I do not know that aeroplane can fly or there is a stuff which can fly or an important mean of transportation and many basic related things, that would make me stupid surely.

Hiya, mimpi! I really wasn't talking about having a knowledge of everything or the way it works. I just meant that ......well, basically what I meant was that if someone is ignorant of something they can gain knowledge, if they so choose. But, if you just flat out refuse to acquire knowledge in the basics of being a human being, that is just stupidity.

Now if you find an ignorant judge how do you present the knowledge? Let's say you have facts proof of stupidity, who do you submit that information to? Making a judge smart will take an act of Congress or a Presidential decree!

the world has become so intricate these days because of so many people introducing so many ideas from time to time. for me, there is no way at all that i can cope with everything new that's coming in. thus, i have decided that it is best to be informed only with the very basics. it used to be reading, writing and arithmetic. now, awareness of what's going around us is already such a demaded for basic in life. well, let us just hang on to the basics. there is no way at all that we can have a full grasp of every knowledge that this world holds. as for me, for one to consider anyone as stupid, it is just his way of treatment of the others around him. nobody at all in this world is as informed as they would want to be.

I agree. There is so much information out there that no one human being can retain all of it. We don't all need every tidbit of information floating around out there. But, basically, I was talking about being a decent human being. If we don't use the basic knowledge we have acquired on how to be that, then we are stupid.

Hey bo! Great to see ya! I'm afraid I'd have to agree with the "Ignorance is bliss"! But, I do love to learn things sometimges so does that mean I'm stupid? Maybe so! But, whatever it does mean I'm gonna be a happy stupid moron!
