What are you looking for in a good blog?

Let's say that you are on a mission to subscribe to a good blog to read on at least a weekly basis, what would you consider to be a good blog? Is there a subject that you would lean towards more than any other? Most writers suggest that in order to have a good blog, you need to give the readers what they want. Interpretation of this could mean a number of things to different people. Whether its a problem that the reader is looking for a solution to, or a subject that they are looking for more information on, etc. Ultimately I'm looking to really find out what the readers want, so I revert back to the original question: What do you look for in a good blog?

I love reading blogs about people's everyday life. I guess it's the Peeping Tom in me that wants to know what people are really like. What was the argument with their husband about? What crazy thing did they buy that they can't afford. How was the kid's report card. It also has to be really honest for me to keep reading. When a blogger starts writing about things that are too good to be true, continuously, that's when I start to tune out.

Thank you GoGirl149. I'm glad someone finally gets what I was looking for. It seems to be the only item on the list as of now, but its a great start. Thanks again.

I want a blog that is going to give me some interesting information. I dont like blogs that seemingly have nothing to say. I really dont spend alot of time reading blogs to be honest. I like my blog and post on it but I djust hing that are many things that are published on blogs that arent really worth reading.

First I want to thank you for your post. I'm also interested in knowing more. You stated you want something that's going to give you interesting information, but on what subject? Each person's interests are different, so I'm really just trying to find out what the consensus is. What is the most interesting subject to read about?

It can mean anything, really. Just write for what you have passion for. If you like to type out things around you, go on and do it. If you like to stick to a niche topic like say, a particular hobby or things/pictures, do it. Anything that is interesting is actually about life. Life surrounding us; it can be words, it can be pictures that you take in any life form or digital art. Anything.. so ask yourself, what do you like, really and go from there. All the best for your blog post creation should you decide to embark on this journey. Blogging is definitely very interesting and it's very inter-personal and special to us.
