Curiosity drives a person to do things that will either benefit or harm his/her body and well being. Sometimes curiosity bring more trouble than happiness. But most people considered it as the source of innovation and ideas that bring welfare to the mankind. But other said it's the beginning of sin.
Are you curious? Do you think there's advantages of being curious?

Yeah, you're right bird123, curiosity could lead to discovery, but I think it's more on necessity that lead to invention and discovery.

Yeah, you're right. Due to curiosity of an individual all things were made and make us possible to enjoy and give life pleasure and ease. But I think it's not only curiosity that makes those people invent things, it's also because of necessity.

Curiosity is the invention of evrything in this world. All humane are very much curious to find out whenever a strange phenomenon is observed. It may be a social phenomenon or natural,or scientific.I am too very much curious whenever I get a scant of any strange phenomenon.Of course, I am not so much lucky to present the world with some new invention beneficial to them.My curiosity sometime benfits me only and sometime benefits other too in some way.But somtime my curiosity give me so much pain, because my curiosity helps me to reavel such matters which if I might not know would have been much better. So I feel that curiosity is not always good. But as it is a humane nature to be curious,I too could not stop me from curiosity and get into trouble.Particularly some curiosity deteriorates personel relation with relatives, friends and neighbours. So sometime I check my curiosity to go to the deep of something I hear somebody gossip. Is it right?

Actually curiosity is an important trait of a genius. I don't think you can find an intellectual giant who is not a curious person. Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Leonardo Da Vinci, they are all curious characters. Here are some reasons why is it important. One would be, it makes your mind active instead of passive and being observant in new idea. It opens up new worlds and possibilities and it brings excitement into your life. But you need as well to be open minded. Be open to learn, unlearn and relearn. Some things you know might be wrong and you should be prepared to accept this possibility and change your mind.
