Only when it concerns me. Especially if it's a friend. Or the issue somehow affects me also.

Yes, a lot of times too! I am easily moved even by the slightest sad thing, like when I see a sad commercial for the first time, and even animated movies too! Haha. I really have the weakness for sad movies. And of course when I see a loved one actually cry makes my heart break into a million pieces. We just don't want to see a loved one get hurt at any rate, do we? Take care! :)

Well yeah i must admit that seeing others cry have an effect on me(not shed tears but feel like down). But there most be a good reason to why the other person is crying. I personally dont think movies can have that effect on me, except for Up and Code Geass(anime serie) which are the only movie that had almost bring me to tears. I dont remember never actually cried on those situations. But for example if i saw a person on real life who is sad i often feel empathize with that person and in some way share their feelings.

Hiyee my friend, i'm really an emotional person. I tend to cry alot while watching sad movies. I get carried away when someone cries while sharing stories about life which are really really sad. I think its just normal to cry and be emotional. Its just one way of showing that people had a heart that is so soft. We cry to give sympathy to others and to show we care...;)

It is most likely to happen as you said. Crying is the process through which we are cleaning ourselves of certain negativity. Think about this negativity as a form of energy. When you are crying, you are releasing this energy outside of you and it can be absorbed by other people. Consequently they become sad or even start to cry if the energy input is too big. It doesn't mean you should always cry alone. It means that who is listening to your sad story should not be too involved and not allow your story to expand all over her/ his mind. Being present, allowing your story to exist without involving in it, will precipitate compassion. And compassion heals...

Oh no i just lost a huge response I posted.......
bAsically what i said was that i used to work as a vet nurse and when others cried it made me cry too and I would have to try to hold it back.
One day a family came in and they had a 12 year old son. He was trying to be tough and not cry but we had to put their cat to sleep. WHen they came out to pay afterwards he started bawling his eyes out and I almost lost it. I quickly gave them their receipt and ran out the back and cried some more!
I cry when I see people crying on television or in movies. I have also found that it gets worse as I get older!

Usually I won't cry because of someone is crying nearby me. I need a reason to drop tears. If I feel sad to it, I will cry even if nobody cries around me. On the contrary, if I don't feel sad to it. Even if others are crying, but my tears won't drop down anyway.

Hello.
Yes, that's true. Everytime I see someone crying, I tend to cry, too. It really affects someone, as if you were in their shoes that you feel the same way that they do. Well, it's really ok. I guess, a lot of us does.
Happy mylotting!

I have shallow tears so even television dramas make me cry a lot. But that's different in real life. THough I easily cry due to my personal experiences, it is different when I see another person crying in real life. I don't really cry with him or her unless I know what the matter is. I surely get bothered though but I may not necessarily cry with him or her.

I cry when I read books, I cry when I watch movies, I cry. I do admit that I cry easily. I can also say that I am not a weak person, I just cry when there is the need to cry. I am not ashamed of my tears. I cry alone and I cry with others as well.
I have this tendency to cry too, when I see someone crying as well. My experiences does not control my tears. Crying is my form of prayers too...

Yep. This usually happens to me. My eyes would start to water up when I see someone crying or even just have watery eyes.
I really don't know why, I think my tears are really shallow, so i cry easily. too easily, in fact. It's embarrasing sometimes. hehehe. specially, if I'm watching a film, and the film is not even drama. hahahaha.

Hi amyson,
That makes the two of us, I also cry when I saw somebody crying even only on movies or series on television. My tears will fall so easily especially when I can relate the story with my own experience. My husband would always tease me for being so emotional but I can't help it. Good Day!
