Definitely! Isn't the human brain weird? Evidently it's contagious in chimpanzees as well, so they're at least as strange as we are! Brain scans have found that this is an unconscious process, because we are merely mirroring the actions that we see in others.

Very contagiuos.
I teach English at home and if one the students starts to yawn with a short time everybody will be yawning, including me!!

manong05 yes it is indeed contagious and if you yawn in an auditorium you will soon see a whole slew of people also
yawning. I think we subconsciously do imitate others. For
example my hubby and I tried something one day as a project for
our psychology class.we went to a street corner and stood just
looking up in the sky,Soon three other people joined us, then still more until there were seven people all looking up into the sky and nobody even knew what we were looking for. we left while all the rest were trying to figure out what we were looking at. he he he.![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)
