That's the classical dilemma between the head and the heart. There are times when our head says one thing and the heart another. The head emphasizes logic and heart the emotions. Ultimately one wins. Like what a young man said to his girl friend whose parents' refuse to accept him, " we can not be together, we can not be apart, that's the classical dilemma between the head and the heart"... enjoy life

The question here, mi friend, is which one is more powerful. The dilemma exists, but which one is the all-time winner? Talking about general terms, not specific ones.

Can one have life without both?? One should rule with their mind but what would life be without feeling. Also when all the facts aren't known, we use our emotions to form a belief or patch over the missing piece. Without this patch, we would lock up just like my old computer. Got to have mind and emotions but always lead with your mind. If you lead with emotions, you could find yourself lost in a sea of emotions. It's never fun to be lost!!!

In my personal opinion, I think you must have BOTH, since one without the other would leave to catastrophe and destruction of mandkind. Everything must find it's balance.
