Internet connection has definitely made this world a convenient lifestyle to enjoy. I ordered books from UK, to be delivered free. I have ordered items from Amazon and ebay, and delivered to my doorstep. However, I have to agree that we are too hooked up on the internet lifestyle. I am one, for sure.
Recently, I lost connection to the internet world. I tried to fret too much about it, and spend more time reading books and watching the television. In fact, by not having the internet line for a few days, I got the excuse to back-up my hard disk and re-organize my stuff in my laptop.
So, do I want to be offline? Nope. I prefer to be online. However, I also want the option of not going crazy if I fail to get online.

Yeah, with the development of the Internet, people won't live without it.
About ten years ago, most people didn't pay any attention to the Internet because they held the idea that the Internet was useless and would not play an important role in the future.
However, nowadays, as you have said above, 75% of the 16-year-old to 24-year-old youth can not without the internet. It is obvious that the Internet is becoming more and more popular.
As time flies, the Internet is becoming a part of our daily life and everyone can't keep pace with the times.
