I have encountered a lot of members around here who say that they have been paid multiple times already here in MyLot but when I look at their number of posts and they only have a few. What's the explanation to this? Does the number of posts roll back to zero or something at a certain point? Or do they just have tons of referrals who earn for them..Anyone?

Everyone knows how we earned here so what they are saying is half truth. Some people like to fabricate stories and did not expect others to notice that it is nothing but white lies. Don't be taken by their words as most discussions here are more fantasy than facts.

Thank you very much for the advice. It's sad to know that there are really that people who love telling lies and deceiving people. I don't know what their reasons are but I can't think of a good reason to justify such thing. I try to be as honest as possible in here and it's sad to know that a lot of people seem to be just playing here..:(

There are some that reach payout without even one single post in the discussions. It is enough to complete 3 tasks at $4 and they reach it

There are MANY users who join just to do the tasks and do not post on the discussions at all.
There are many tasks worth $4 each when SharonBucks posts them and if those users do only 3 of them then theyhave already earnt more than the minimum payout.
There are also many users who do not ruch to make posts and see their number increase but prefer to spend their time commenting on their own discussions with long comments. This earns them a lot too.
There are many ways to earn here on myLot and each user reaches payout at a different time depending on whatthey do. Some have even 1000 before they are paid for the first time because they write less in their posts and others reach payout every month.
It is absolutely possible that what they are saying is the truth

I am working at night; but I can't seem to tear myself off the lot. I need to rest.. =--= but that's how addicting mylot is.
Diana is right. There are just lots of ways to participate; some like to comment and respond and start discussions, while others prefer to just do the tasks.
I'm more towards a responder. I can't seem to get enough..

You are right! Posting long comments to their discussions can help to earn even it doesn't make the post count increase for every comment. Adding images on discussions, responses, or comments can also help to earn more in participation. Well, the writing tasks gives the users an opportunity to earn faster. The available writing tasks as of now has a reward of $4 so when a user got approval on three submissions, he/she earned more than the minimum payout.

Mysdi is correct. I've been here for less than a month and I am sure I will reach my minimum payout this month. It is beacuse I did a lot of tasks and on of them I earned $4. You see, the number beside my profile is less than 200 yet I am almost there. When you responded to your own discussions on other's comments, the number will not increase.

Well, I often wonder when people claim this are they really making this, or just trying to make others think they have? But they could have a lot of referrals who are active here, but it takes a couple of Good ones to really help out each month in here for sure. But the most part if they are really earning decent $$ in here each month without that large of a number besides their name they are either posting a lot of quality discussions where they are getting a lot of responses back too, or they are doing Tasks. For me, I would rather start New discussions and post back in discussions to earn $$ here, but the choice is always up to each individual for sure.

It took me lot of posts to reach the first payout and for a reasonable number of sentences we just get to earn 3-4 cents. Images add up to 1-2 cents. so, its really hard work and consistent posting that helps us reach the minimum payout. so, I do not know how can people with less posts manage that. It could be the tasks or referrals. But still quite unlikely.

Hi calai,
First you tell me, have you got the first payout. I got my first payment with less than 300 posts. If you start a discussion then you have to comment back with minimum of 3-4 sentences then you can earn pretty much. There the number of posts may be less. It is upto the quality not on quantity. Now the tasks are another attraction. Recently tasks are available for $ 4. So it is very easy to reach the payout without making posts in mylot. I think you got the idea now. There is no chance to roll back your number of posts, until there is any deletion of posts.

Thank you for the response. Good for you you were able to achive the $10 payout with just 300 posts. I am over 400 posts right now and I still am at around 3/4 of the minimum payment. I also do not have any referrals at the moment so all the hardwork comes from me. I would also try that technique you said about commenting to every response I get. :D

They do it with the tasks
or by writing a lot in their posts on the dicsussions and commenting back to all the responses that they receive. It is not a mystery that several users with very few posts have already reached payout here just by being active
The next time you see a user who is telling us this, take a look at their activity in their profile and you willbe able to see how they did it

You got the point, sailor! It may take time for a new user here to learn the other ways to earn faster in here such as barging on discussions, uploading pictures and doing tasks. But they can learn it faster when we help them or somebody referred them to join because the referrer may teach some strategies to encourage them to be active.

Hi to the two of you and thanks for the response. Yes the reasons you gave may be true for some. It's just really hard to believe it when tey have posts less than a hundred and they happen to have been paid not just once but many times before..I hope some of them stumble upon this discussion so we'd know how they do it.

Perhaps..this is just my thought. Perhaps that user has commented on a lot and do lots of tasks, but not really responding to a lot of discussions. So in that way, you won't see the post count being that many. There are lots of possibilities, really. The number of posts achieved can never be reset back to zero. It will keep on adding or decreasing a bit, if say, a discussion has violations and deleted. Hope this helps..

They must be earning from their referrals if they have a low post count and still claim to make the minimum payout each month. I wish I could do that! I work like crazy--although I do enjoy it!--to make the minimum amount each month and I have no referrals.
One thing that will help you earn once you are over the 500 mark is posting photos with your discussions. They have to be your own or copyright free for the public to use, though. You get an extra penny for each photo.

In the previous responses you can see what they do
YTasks, tasks and even more tasks - they boost earnings!

if one has a good number of referrals, then it will be it is possible with a lesser number of posts. the referrals have to be active. only then it is going to work. i did not have any referrals, so i had to post more than 500 plus to reach the payout.
Mylot also keeps a track of what one does. if the member is inactive they might even close the account. so be careful as to riding solely on the referrals earnings.

I have no referrals and didn't get paid until I had reached over 500 posts. I still have yet to reach my second payout, so I'm not sure how these other users are earning so quickly, unless they are completing a lot of tasks, have a lot of referrals, or post really good quality responses!

I think I am in the same situation as you. I am a little over 400 and still about 3/4 of the minimum payout. I might be getting that when I reach more than 500. I also do not have any referrals so I rely on my self alone. These people may really have tons of referrals and doing the tasks more than posting at discussions. thanks for the response!

There are many ways that it happens. Firstly there are lies told by the users, secondly when you start a discussion and respond to the comments then your number of posts does not increase but your earnings does. I have about 470 posts at this moment but I have around $8.70 in my account. Then there are referrals. I have many. I also perform the tasks from the tasks section.
The better the quality of the posts the more you earn. Happy Mylotting.

Hi, Calai!
Oh, don't just simply look by the numbers if you want to know the members are active or not. Some are doing writing tasks that could pay up to $4, which will boost up their earnings instantly.
Others just love to start new discussions and receive lots of responses. So, when they respond to the comments on the discussions they create, the number of posts will not increase. It will only increase when a member is commenting on other members' discussions, but not their own discussions.
There is a few members who have reached more than 10k of postings, so, I don't think it will roll back to zero when reaching at certain point. If you really want to find out, just keep on postings.
I guess those numbers are some sorts of motivation for the members, but often misjudge of their participation in this site.

There is no rollback. They may have referrals. They may have been here under a different profile and gotten banned. They may have very excellent posts and discussions and earn the rest by tasks. Or they may just like to lie.

hello calai618,
well as we all know that some of our friends here have a lot of referrals. and having such will help us a lot for we are earning from them especially when they are active. and if they do, we don't need to work much.
have experience that before and i was so thankful. i have only one referral back then but he was so super active that i am earning more than i have imagined. for some reason, he quit. and wherever he is now, i thank him much. he was the best ever.

hi calci18 do not believe everything some say as you cannot have been paid multiple times if you had not had many posts. that just stands to reason. they were snowing you as the saying goes. No the number of posts keeps on climbing as you can see by my number I have been here for several years and do a lot of posting. we get paid just once a month around the fifteenth of the month or a d ay or two earlier.

Well, the minimum payout per month is $10, I think. I've been a member here for about a year and a half. I've been paid almost every month because I make at least minimum payout. I clearly don't have as many postings as some people, some folks here number in the thousands.... like over 10K, while I have a little over 3000. I don't believe that it is JUST the number of posts alone, I also think that ratings figure into it, the information in your post figures into it, etc etc. If you are a regular positive contributor here at mylot, you consistently make more. If you are not regular or NOT positive, you consistently will see yourself making less, even if you feel you post the same amount.
Some people DO have lots of referrals, other people have none. I have only one that is still pretty active, I am an example of a good referral because I'm sure I earn plenty for the person who invited ME here lol.

Hi, probably those people either referral lots of people, or they did the sharonbucks task. They paid $4 an article and by doing only 3 they could do a cash out regardless of these posts.

I think the number of their posted discussion didn't receive any reply and if so it does not earned. Your earnings will also matter with your posted response. Once you have participated several response, your earning will increase. Once your discussion being response, you must also comment for their for you to increase your earnings.
