It doesnt matter how and under what circumstances but you happened to be in a position where a camera was and got captured somehow.Maybe you were intentionally captured for a news item and your input was required or it was someone else's moment and you happened to be in the neighbourhood and got captured unsuspectingly . Well to answer my own question I got caught on camera once ,it was in my high school time (so you know it was a long time ago ) and I was an unsuspecting victim. They were doing some feature on my school and I got caught in the library studying (offcourse being teh good student I was )and I must admit that my few minutes of fame really felt . So my question to you now is have you ever been on camera ,what wree the circumstances and how did it feel ?

I was filmed for a news channel once. My friend and I were supposed to be out looking for a job when we were teenagers, our mom's were really on to us about it. So we went out to a job fair where there were lots of job opportunities. We were taped while we were filing out job applications. Our mom's didn't believe that we were really out looking for a job, they thought we just went to the mall or something. To their surprise, we were featured on the news filing out job applications. Our moms apoligized to us after they saw us on the news.

I've appeared half a dozen times on television, all for quiz shows in England. I was on 'Today's the Day,' '15 to 1' twice, and 'Mastermind' 3 times. 'Mastermind' was the most successful, as I got to the final, though unfortunately I didn't win anything. The experience was great, though, as they accommodate you in really nice hotels and pay for your travel, and you get to meet some really interesting people. Although I was nervous beforehand, I wasn't a bit nervous in the studios, and I got to tour the 'Coronation Street' set, although I didn't get to meet anyone famous. I'd do it again, if I had the chance, as they really make you feel like a star for the day.

I was caught on camera on two different occasions, but for the same reason. You see, I used to work at the Ontario head office of 7-Eleven Food Stores. 7-Eleven strongly supports Muscular Dystrophy. One year I volunteered on answer phones and got put on the phones that were on the set so I was seen on camera. There is a banquet room in the hotel where the telethon takes place where hundreds of people answer the phones. There are only a few that are on the set answering phones; I was one of them. Another year I was chosen to present a cheque from 7-Eleven. The money was raised during our Shamrock campaign so I was dressed up as a leprechaun when I (and a co-worker) presented the cheque to host Kurt Browning (Canadian Figure Skating Champ). A friend had video taped the telethon so I have it on video tape. I didn't actually speak but I was on camera and Kurt graciously met with us afterwards to have our photo taken with him. I don't have that photo on this computer... except I believe in my myLot profile. You can check it out there. I can't think of any other time I was on television.

When I was in the fifth grade, I won a reading contest so I was picked to participate in a parade. A local news station was covering the story and I was filmed on the back of a truck, waving to people. It was only for about two seconds, but, being a 10 year old, I felt like a celebrity.

hi Ronnyb, Many years ago when I was a child, I wong a change to be on a game show. It was close the Easter and I found one of the seven golden eggs. That allowed me to participate. I remember the cameras where huge it was kinda scarey. Some Strange lady told me what to do what do say even how to stand. She said if I did exactly what I was supose to I'd win a bicycle. My parents where watching off camera and I kept trying to wave at my Dad. LOL Anyways, to win the bicycle all I had to reach in a bucket and pull out a number. All the kids on the show won a bicycle!

Haha...I had this experience before. It was few years back.I was captured on camera that time when I walked outside of the shopping mall with my ex boyfriend. They interviewed us asking our opinion on the modern women working capability nowadays in society for a local TV program. That that I was abit nervous and shy on camera when the TV host interviewed me but I was still very delighted to be captured on camera as I think it's cool and this kind of opportunity not always have.

Many years ago our local TV station had cooking shows on. They were doing a special about a mental health program in the area. I was working for one of the programs and doing some cooking with the help of clients. We did a segment on how to cook Tater tot casserole for a large crowd. I still have a copy of the segment. i had a friend transfer it from a VHS tape to a ce not too long ago. it was an interesting experiment in how cooking shows were put together.

Yeah, I was on camera when I was very young. Our school competed in a choral singing gig which was sponsored by a network company and the group who won were given a slot at their program to sing the winning song number. We won and we were featured and sang on television. I was still in my pre-school days. It was fun, but I guess we were too naive to know the joys of being on television.

Oh yeah... that reminds me. I was on television when our school Christmas Concert was taped by a local station. They aired it on Christmas Day. I had my whole family go up to Dad's den and watch. It was so embarrassing because here I was in the choir and I was CHEWING GUM while singing. It was awful.

I think i was but im not sure. One evening while i was watching the news they showed a video clip. They said people who drive BMW's think they can drive anyway anywhere. The video showed a BMW speeding down the road chnaging lane often. Anyway it sure looked like my car and i was driving down the street they mentioned in that way on my way to an appointment i was going to be late for. I believe it was me. So if cars count i think so.

Happy sunday Ronnyb, Back when i was a teenager [a 100 years ago] they had a dance party on tv every week & the surrounding towns would participate. When it came time for our school to go i was one of the lucky ones to get chosen to dance w/my boyfrirnd at the time. my dad told me i could go even had one of his friends to carry us "but" he told me i couldn't dance. Wasn't that a bunch of b/s. To make a long story short, we danced, we won & dad forgot to be mad at me for disobeying. guess he was use to it.lol

Yes i was once caught on camera and seen on TV and this was about 35 years back. I was learning Indian classical instrumental music and my teacher and myself had gone to attend the felicitation probram of a world reputed Indian classical musician. In Indian music performance the audience usually sits crosslegged on the floor as the musicians perform on a low stage. At the venue of this particular event, my teacher and me were sitting exactly behind the musician who was to be honoured. The event was being covered on national television and so the cameras were trained on the musician all the time and therefore on us. A few days after this program when it was shown on national TV i started getting calls from a number of people that they had seen me on the small screen and what i was doing there in the first place. I became an instant celebrity amongst my friends and relatives. Unfortunately i was not able to see myself as i did not have a TV set at that time. But yes it did feel great to be a mini celebrity even if momentarily.

When I was a little kid, one of the local TV stations did a show during November and December that aired before the 5:00 news, called Letters to Santa. It was essentially the same thing as visiting Santa at the mall except that it was televised every weekday for a half an hour from 4:30 - 5:00. I was on that once. And once in high school, the school district had decided to demote our principal. Basically, they told him he could be a custodian or he could find another job somewhere else. So we staged a walk out to support him and we got news coverage for it.

Close I ever came to being on television was after I had my last child. She was the first baby born on Thursday, and the hospital does this commercial called Thursday's Baby. All you see of me is my hands, . Now when my youngest is ever asked if she was ever on tv, she has a video tape of her commercial.

I have been on television twice I think. One time we had a "bad man" in our neighborhood. He had done some bad things to one of the kids in our neighborhood and had gotten arrested for it. The news crew came out to do a piece on it because he had done some other bad things in another state before moving to ours. I was young then so they were talking to some of the parents and they asked some of the kids some questions too and I was one of the kids they talked to. They also wanted us to ride our bikes for a few minutes and they filmed us doing that too. The second time I was on the news again. lol But it was because I had a problem with a store in our area and our news station has a segment where they help people fix the problem with businesses and then they tell what happened and how the business fixed the problem. I felt good then because they had the problem taken care of for me after I had been calling and talking to managers and getting nowhere. It made me feel good that I didn't have to worry about it anymore and they took care of it and put it on tv for others to know about what happened.

Well, the time I got paid for it felt good though it was a one time payment. Another time is was press coverage for something I did which was also good. Another time I was unaware of but others told me about it.

I have been on Television 3 times that I am aware of. This does not count re-runs of the TV shows though, which I would not have a clue about! The most recent time was last year when I was helping to promote the launch of the Pan Pacific Masters Games here in Australia. I was representing the sport of Field Archery and competed in a fun Dragon Boat race with an ex Olympic Games athlete. I was sitting right behind her, so I got on camera! The other times were when I was working as an extra on some TV shows that were being filmed locally. One was an Australian drama series, which some people who knew me, saw me in years later! The other was an American TV series called Roar, which featured the late Australian Hollywood Actor Heath Ledger. I worked alongside him for a day when he was unknown. The series was unsuccessful, but it was what launched Heath's career in Hollywood! He went on to become one of the biggest names in Hollywood before passing away last year!

When I use to perform as a dancer, the media would be there and capture it. I was just enjoying the dancing and didnt even notice the camera. Also when I was with this band once while singing I got caught on camera. It was different cause I was singing and I had to look at the audience or whatever. Scary but quite fun.
