Have a great time with your granddaughter today. Sounds like fun. I know how exciting it can be to spend time with the grandkids. Nothing special today. Babysat our grandbaby all morning yesterday and then spent the night last night so our kids could go to work. I am tired this morning so probably won't do much. Should take it easy today and get some sleep since I don't sleep well away from home. I sure had fun though so it was well worth every minute.

Let's see, "today" was Saturday. Mission - be lazy. It was a beautiful day and I mostly just lay out in the back yard and caught up on my reading.
How did the cookies come out?

My granddaughter spent the night last night with me. Right now, she's sitting next to me watching spongebob. Next we're going to make cookies, have a teaparty and play Sorry! Later it's off to her cousins birthday party. It's a great day.

She's 5. We made the cookies, built Lincoln log houses and she beat me at Sorry (we cheat ) but we didn't actually have our tea party. Two oclock she started complaining that she was cold and tired by three she had a fever. Had to take her home instead of with me to her cousins birthday party. Poor kid. Other than her getting sick we had a great time.

Well, this was started actually 4 weeks ago, and I am now just responding, but we have actually been busy washing clothes, cleaning the carpets, etc. all day. We are having our assistant pastor and his wife over for dinner in less than 2 hours, and it will be great to talk with them and fellowship. We are having Spagetti and a Salad. My husband made the Spagetti sauce from scratch and it always turns out so good.

That will be fun. My son and I were with my grandmother the other day and she stopped by a sweet shop and we stayed in the car while she went in. Well, she bought us some homeade Halloween cookies to bring home. One for me, one for my son, and one for my husband. One was a witch hat, one was a pumpkin, and one was a ghost with m&m's for the eyes. They were cute and yummy too. I don't decorate too much for Halloween but I took my son to the pumpkin patch yesterday and let him pick a big pumpkin out to carve and a small pumpkin out for himself to leave in the house. We haven't carved the pumpkin yet but we might do it tonight. He's got his little pumpkin sitting on the table. He wants to put stickers on it tonight.

Cookies sound like a fun plan. I want a bat cookie, please!
My plans for the day are a bit boring (not to me, but otherwise, yes). I am getting prepared to start on a multi-week project with another person. It is similiar to a huge test that involves how we help each other through the process, so it will be interesting to the the result. Right now I am just laying down the ground work from my side of the project.
I also need to clean up a bit on another project that I started sometime last week. I have weekly projects that I like to do, and last week's project has spilled over into this week, and (figuratively) it has gotten a bit messy, especially with the new project that I mentioned above. I guess we will just have to see how everything turns out.

Hi ya jillhill
Well me and my boys are going away for a week as of Thursday and will be returning the 31st and have a lot to do then like decorate the house as I have invited a few friends over for some snacks before trick or treating. So today we are doing what we normally do on a Sunday. I take my son to rugby practice and then we chill for the rest of the day, breaking to do a bit of washing or cleaning, tidying and ironing. If you need a quick, simple and great tasting cookie recipe pm me and I will let you have it.

Our lights indoors went wrong and we have been crawling around in the dark with small lamps spread around the house ,yesterday good Old Dad came over and mended the fault,so today we went shopping for a new light tube for the kitchen the only place where the lights would not work,it has been a real pain this weekend, but alright now all sorted.I really hope you enjoyed your time with your grandaughter and made lots of decorations for your home.Bless her, don't they cheer you up.
