I disagree because money is the root of all necessities. The words for 'all evil' came out from the related story about it. I mean, the bad example in its story telling which normally promoted in one Art & Literature or Old Folk Story just to remind readers/audience not to follow that steps.

[b]No, it comes from the group of books, poems, letters & other writings called "The Bible." NOT an old "folk tale."

I don't think that it is the money that is evil, it's the people seeking the money. It's not wrong to love money, but to what extent are you willing to go to get it? Working hard, saving, investing wisely, that's fine. But what about these people who purposely hurt others to obtain their fortune? That's evil.

Money is never the root of all evil. It is the love of money that is the problem. All of us need money and it is meant to be a measuring tool, not a master to us. I am sure most of us here on the net is also here for earning money.

[b]Pride. It's common for people who have a lot of money to be too proud, though.

I don't believe the love of money is THE root of ALL evil, but I do believe it's A root of all kinds of evil. There are many people who are content with very little and would never think of doing anything evil to obtain more money. What I believe is one of the worst evils is covetousness. That's that just wanting what someone else has, but it's when you want what someone else has and you want them not to have it. I believe that can make a person do all kinds of evil things.

No, I don't believe that money is the root of all evil, neither is the love for it. It just depends how you use the money as well as in what way and how much you love money. I mean, I love money, I'll admit. But I wouldn't kill someone over it. I really just do believe that it's not the money that would be evil, but rather the people who use it. If you gave a good person money, they will give it to charity. If you gave an evil person money, they will of course use it in their own twisted way. It depends on the user, not necessarily what is being used.

Sure everyone love money, Everyone need money, with money we can do a lot of thing. Money can make you happy also can make you suffer. I think not the love of money that make someone do evil thing, but treated money as God is the Root of Evil.

Yes..without any doubt we can say this and even the child will agree to this. If we are not in the need of money except for our food and essential needs, then nothing will happen in the society which are against the laws or our moral. As we are about to run behind the money always, we are ready to do anything without considering the others, laws, society etc., In the old age, the problems were only for the food and the shelter. Now we are doing many things, for excessive money though we know well that we can not spend all the money we are having ,we are earning within our life. But still we are ready to do anything..we all became greedy ...
