I'm from China too. But I guess this question won't draw much attention from foreigners as you expect because the question is too general. Too general that people don't know where to start ! Or someone would not tell the truth if they want to respond to your topic in fear of any offence.

If I have any fear of 'offence' it is that responses here might offend the powers that be in China, not the person starting the discussion! In the West, we are very aware that China censors websites: I do hope that MyLot will be 'under the radar', so to speak.

I would love to see the Great Wall and the great army of figures that was uncovered some time ago. We actually had a chance to see some of them a few years ago when they were brought to England but I didn't get to the exhibition.
There are many fascinating and old places to see in China but what I would most like to know is how ordinary people live their lives and what they think of the West. I gather that the tourist guides do not encourage one to visit certain streets in Beijing ... in fact one is carefully guided away from certain areas in case you should see life as it really is!

Welcome to wonderful My Lot. I like China from what I have heard about China. It is meant to be a really beautiful country and the people are said to be very friendly. I know that the language looks really difficult indeed so that would be the only problem for me if I was going to try to learn it. I know that China has an excellent system of trains and many lines. The nearest that I have been is Hong Kong. I liked that a lot.
