have you ever encounter an impolite taxi driver? in baguio? in manila? and anywhere else. is our taxi drivers that impolite? i encounter a taxi driver which don't want that i would hitch my friend along the way. he said that " ading next time wag kana magsasabay ng inde mo ka ano ano" and i said to my self. WOW! what was that? is it wrong to hitch a friend? i don't really understand? and I'm also planing on giving him a tip for the trouble but hearing that from him i change my mind! everyday i ride a taxi because I'm working as a messenger and the company is paying for it so that it would be fast they say and i ride the taxi to be comfortable but i am pissed off because of the bad attitude of drivers. they are forgetting that they are in a service industry they should monitor their attitude because we are customers. Sometimes The taxi drivers don't want to use the meter and they have their own price when going to any place. tsk tsk tsk tsk taxi drivers should be screened strictly the attitude and their values are really so annoying! don't you think?

Hi, ocampopaulanthony. Yes, taxi drivers attitudes should be screened before they get in their cabs to drive. I once had let a taxi man take me to my destination. And I told him that I would be right back because I had to get out and walk my son to his class. Did you know that this fool, pulled off and left me there at the school. I had no one that could pick me back up. So, I called him again and he came back out to pick me up. He said that the reason that he left is because he had to pick up another person that had to take their child to school too. So, I was like okay, that was fine. And he then got a little upset with me. He was saying that he charged me for waiting on him. But yet he pulled off. So, I had to pay him $11.00. He also waited on me while I checked my Post Office box which only took about one minute. Not even more than two minutes. And I was charged a $1.00 fee for this trip too. I had to pay him $5.00 for taking my son to school and then for him to pick him back up. I would rather just have my own transportation than to just rely on taxi drivers. They charge too much money for a trip that is not worth it anyway.

Taxi drivers get very impolite some times. I had taken taxis in different cities, to get to places in the city, to go from the airport to the hotel in the downtown core, and so on. What very much annoyed me once was the driver driving round and round the place for the meter to keep going up, sensing that I have not been to that city before ! Oh, that was really annoying !

hi paul^^;; i'm from Baguio and so far haven't encountered the same situation as to hitching a friend. i used to work outside before and to save, me and co-workers usually do the hitching but drivers don't say anything. though i know some feel bad because sometimes we are crowded and more than the allowed load... however, i experience a lot like that in Manila, and my hubby who is a foreigner was so much disappointed on how abusive they are especially if we are talking about the fare. i guess taxi driver association should fix this problem since manila is the entrance to the Philippines and many foreigners are being treated like this...
