MyLot - Why should I stay?

Like everyone knows MyLot is not in tiptop condition. Some features don't work, others aren't optimal. The mood among users has decreased as well and earnings aren't spectacular.
These are basically the reasons why I have my doubts on whether I should continue with mylot.
Please pep me up and tell me why I should continue.

You just got paid and now you are thinking of leaving?
You should be trying to convince many others to join now that you have got your payslip in your hands and can show them that it is genuine.
This is a test for those that are really loving the site. They don't leave when it's down! It's not down anyway and which functions are supposedly not working? Who is not earning? Are you typing on the right site?

MyLot never inform, we are used to that.
Why not start your own discussions
and, come to think of it, I have never seen you on mine
I think you are missing Mike

There has been times I felt a simular way. I even had a problem with a previous account that almost distroyed my faith. But I am still here.
What keeps me to mylot is the support that other members can offer. There are so many different advise that is given from different cultures. It is a place that I can learn about many different things.
Just over 12 months ago, to me, I had a disaster. I lost a really good friend. I was so upset. When I posted the discussion on previous account, people were there to offer me support. Then I had a development and found out some information. So I started another discussion. I got even more support there. It is so wonderful to know that there are people out there who do care for you even though they are strangers.
I did mention that I had a problem with my previous account. I was unable to log in one day. I sent a message. Nothing done. Then I started this account sent another message. Nothing done. I wasn't the only person who had the problem. Many others had the same problem. They started getting their original accounts back. But I wasn't interested in getting my original accout back, all I was interested in was asking for the pending payment I had on the previous account. So I sent another message to mylot staff with my request. They looked into it. Saw that the problem was not my fault and reactivated my first account just for payment only. I could not post on that account. They paid me from the first account. So I am really happy with the site and staff.
Only recently I lost interest in mylot and had not spent a lot of time here. But in the last couple of days, I started coming back.
I have my days where mylot discussions are interesting and I will post responses all day. But there are other days where I would only post one response. But it is the regular friends, I keep coming back for because they are lovely people. If I could give them a big cuddle for their lovely support, I would. They know who they are.

hi diamania well earnings go by what amount of work you put in here in making discussions, responding to discussions and commenting on the responses to your discussions. also quit using one sentence comments, responses, and discussions as that will net you zero, make them at least five lines long and quality rather than quantity will bring up your earnings. also Mylot will not have another snafu like that maybe in years, so do not leave now that everything is back to normal except for a few upset mylotters grumbling. do not go, we need all the good mylotters we can get.

Every site has its problems and its issues, I don't know a single site that has not had a glitch every now and then. At least mylot fixes theirs. Mylot is also a very trustworthy site and you can depend on being paid like clock work every month if you make pay out. Earnings are right on par with other web sites. Most pay about a penny or maybe two per response so mylot is right there along with all the rest. I like mylot because I know I will get out of it what I put in to it. Some sites I will write something and I don't know what I will get. Here I know if I answer so many questions that I will get a certain amount every day. I can depend on that and I like being able to depend on that.

On a downer are we? Well, it happens to all of us, but this is our spiritual home, and you do have a lot of friends here. I've had a great day today, with some really fun discussions. Besides, you don't want Lamb dragging you back by your sensitive bits, do you? Oh, I get it, you do - that's why you're threatening to go! Don't do it - you put up some good stuff, and we need you here.

I am relatively new to myLot, and personally I didn't think I'd make it this far! Obviously no one is going to get rich here, and no one ever promised that. I do like the fact that I can discuss things here that I can't with my "real" friends - so that's what keeps me here for now. It's a place where I can chat freely about things. It takes all kinds of people to get different views about a subject - good or bad - and that's just life. And hey, if I can make a cent or two - that's fine with me! Stay because you want to stay . . . if you're unhappy, take a break - you'll see if you'll truly miss this place or not!

The thing is that I always miss this place after a day or two. So taking breaks isn't going to get me anywhere. :) I am so desperately hoping mylot is cleaning all the mess and improving the fun. People, including me, have come up with fantastic ideas and none of them have been realized thus far. That's basically what keeps me here. :)

I'm not sure if many will agree but I believe some are getting frustrated sometimes for various reasons. Mylotting has it's own ups and downs but many opted to stay. So I think you should stay. Chances are you will come back anyway in case you go.
enjoy!

Because these things never last long and myLot will eventually back to normal where it is. MyLot will never disappoint members and myLot will forever.

It does disappoint me so I can't agree with your statement when taken literally. I do understand what you mean, mylot is no scam, I agree but they don't seem to innovate. I have come up with so many ideas, along with others, over the past month on how to make it more fun but nothing has been reacted on, which I do understand, or implemented.
Instead they implemented those quizzes nobody seems to know the additional value of them to the site. Quite typical for the situation mylot is in. If I had the technical knowhow or money to make a mylot alternative then I would have definitely took the plunge.

The problems that mylot had last weekend, could ahppen again. It is a thing with sites that problems do come up but I will say that mylot did everything they could to get us up and going again. I am glad too, as I was trying to post a discussion then, and it eveidently got deleted, but I never had any responses anyway so that is okay. I do agree though that discussions have been repeated over and over. I am tired of them too, but hey it is the new users that come in here and don't know what has been posted, so they will post the same thing again. I will respond to the first one I see and after that, I will just leae them alone. I will never leave mylot because of it though. I am having way to much fun in here and I would never want to not be here. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Well, your earnings in mylot are reflective of your own activity. So, if you aren't doing anything, then you surely aren't going to earn. Most people who thought this is possible failed miserably in mylot and started making this hasty generalizations that mylot is a complete waste of time. Being able to recognize the right opportunities such as those lucrative tasks and knowing how you can maximize your discussion participation is truly the key in boosting your earnings.

You're right on there. I also had times when I felt like I wasn't in the mood for mylotting and in the back of my mind, I had to continually argue with myself bcuz it meant one day of not being able to earn a few compensation in the site. But when I am in the mood to do mylot, then that's when the earnings pour in and its satisfying at the end of the day!

Uhm, maybe you should stay because mylot is so unique that you can't leave it?
Mylot is such a great place, compared to the other parts of the Internet. The people in those other parts aren't all that nice, and they aren't as open minded as us mylottians
You should continue or you might make some of your friends very sad...

Hi Im rather new here compared to some. I admit i started mylots as a way to earn extra money to offset the expenses of shipping boxes to my son that is on deployment with the military but it has become a nice way to get info about topics, connect with others with similar interests and ya to earn a couple bucks. I stay for numerous reasons. I look for other ways to earn the extra money i need for my reasons and never look at mylots as a place to make big money. I much rather make a few pennies doing what i enjoy than on a social site that pays a big zero. This is just how i look at it. Hope you deside to stay i think the more people here the better it is.

Did you have receive payment from mylot? You have in 1000 more ratings and why you are planning to leave?

Yes, that's actually the problem. My motivation was the upcoming payment of 18 dollar something. Now that I have had it in my paypal account and spend, of course, I don't have much of a motivation to continue.
If you read the whole discussion you will see my reasons to leave. :)

...Hi diamania, I have not been on the site only a hort while. But I find mylot interesting, with a myriad of people who have varying interests. There are so many things that I have learned, from just reading the posting. This is also a credible site. You evidently have contributed substantially to the site, you would be sorely missed. So I add my voice to the chorus and say to you, please stay and help to make the site even better than it is. Keep submitting your suggestions, ask others to join you, create a great interest in the ideas. Hopefully, they will be considered in time. Take care.

Mylot still has great users that always seem to be in good spirits and will help each other out. Also, though there are some features that are not the best, there are others that are great, and we can all make them better if we try. All we need to do is work on our mylotting style and also throw out suggestions to each other and to mylot. Stay and just have fun! Think of though you don't make a lot you can make more if you try, and it will be useful money for the holidays.

I think the urge to continue here on MyLot really depends on your reasons why you joined here primarily. If you are here mainly because of the money, then chances are you might really get bored because of some reasons you already posted. I can see that you still want to stay and I think one of the reasons or justifications you can tell yourself is that you are here at mylot and allowed to do things for free (make friends, learn, etc) and it is paying you for doing so. Now how many sites enable you to do that? I always ask myself where I would be without mylot and my answer is Facebook, youtube, etc. but then again these sites are not even giving me anything. I feel like I am just wasting my time on them so I might as well just stick here at in MyLot. I sure get bored sometimes, but mylot is really one of a kind and it gives me the assurance that I never waste my precious time when I am in here.

the more activity on this site, the better it is for all - as far as earning or just discussion.
you can take breaks if you need to.

Maybe you shouldn't stay. Only you can answer that. You have to do what makes you happy, and if mylot doesn't maker you happy anymore, then maybe you should look for other forms of entertainment. Leave it for a week or two, and if you miss it, come back, if not, don't.
