Writing Articles Online

Hi, does anybody know of a website that pays you to write articles - like Associated Content - but for writers from the United Kingdom? Associated Content will not pay on submission to UK writers. I know there is Helium etc that pay you for page views or revenue from ads etc, but what I like about Associated Content is that they pay a few dollars for the article as soon as you submit it. I would then look at any extra revenue from ads or whatever as a bonus.
I have not been too active on Mylot lately as I have been checking out other sites and writing reviews for money, but reviews are so bloody boring to write all the time but I could easily write articles about interesting little stories.
I'd appreciate some thoughts.

I write for eHow.com. The writing format is pretty good, and the community is very friendly. I'm not sure if people from the United Kingdom will get paid, though I think so. They pay you straight in your PayPal account. You should really try it out. :)
I also plan to try Helium sometime soon. Someone else had mentioned that website to me. I heard it was pretty good.

I've just had a look at their website. I reckon I could come up with a few 'how to' articles. Do you promote your articles on other websites? How much cash have you been making out of interest? Thanks for responding x

Heh, I love eHow. I definitely recommend the website! I usually promote my articles with my two blogs and social networking sights like Facebook, Digg, Reddit, and so on. So far I've written 60 how-to articles and received about 60 bucks so far. I've only been an eHow member for 2 months and have been paid twice already. It's pretty great.

Have you tried Triond? It is a pay per view thing as well. Your articles get published in their "niche" websites, as they put it. I think it accepts members worldwide. If I understood well, revenues generated from your articles are shared 50-50. Hope this helps.

I thought Triond does not pay your for submitting the article though and I just want to earn a couple of dollars for submitting it.
I shall just have to try Triond - I could always submit one article and see what happens but I imagine I will earn a couple of cents.
Thanks for responding!

I suppose you won't earn instantly on your articles. But, if you can promote it or send out the word to your friends, then your articles will get more exposure over time.

Check out Textbrokers, they are pretty decent. You have to submit an articel first so you can get your ranking. Once you've gotten your ranking you will know homuch your articles will be worth. Then you can go and look at all the orders. They have tons of work you can accept. And of course, you get paid per article you submit so it's a win win.

Do you also write articles for individuals. Why don't you check Elance. If you are a good writer there's a big chance that any Elance members will hire you to write articles for them. You can also require a certain amount per article.

The pay can be extremely low and competitive on sites like elance tho but you can try it. Also GetAFreelance is a similar site that I think has less fees.
