Do you have any genre in mind? (Horror, romanace, fantasy) etc? Off the top of my head, the only site that I think of that does deal in fiction exclusively is Storymash. It doesn't pay upfront though, and pays based on page views generated by your story.
Then there are the sites that the others have mentioned, like Helium and Associated Content, which don't specialise in fiction, but do allow you to submit your work there. For fiction, it's still payment based on page views for both sites though.

I agree with Lady -- Also try Helium.com. It may not earn you much, but it will get you some exposure and users offer some great constructive criticism. I like to post on there and Associated Content, the communities are great. With Helium, you get paid for ratings and with AC you get paid for page views. Good luck!

Most of the sites I write for seem to prefer non fiction, but you can still post fiction if you like. You could gry Gather, it is not a lot of money but you will earn some. Associated content will accept them but that is not really their main focus but you can make a little money from fiction on those two sites, I am sure there are sites that have a larger pay scale for fiction writing, but those two are good honest paying sites. I think it is hard to get good tagging on fiction. My advice would be to write a few how to type articles on those sites and get yourself a loyal audience and then add your fiction in alternately.
