I remember reading that famous novel in high school!
Right now I have two books out from the public library. I just finished the first book by Jennifer Cruise called Manhunting. It was a funny chick lit. Now I'm reading another one of Jennifer Cruises's books. I'm glad I decided to try a new author! She's really quite great - I'd recommend her if you're into Chick lits at all.

I love chicklit. I love the books by Lauren Weisberger which include: Chasing Harry Winston, The Devil Wears Prada & Everyone Worth Knowing.
I also love the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella.
I will look up the author you are reading the now as I love chick lit so thanks for sharing.

I have never heard of Jennifer Cruise, but I will check her out if I can. I will read anything, currently I am reading a book by Joseph Wambaugh, it is called Hollywood Crows, and it's pretty good. He writes Cop stories, but this one is pretty funny also. He is a distant relative of mine, on my fathers side, so I like to read his books when I can.

What a coincidence! I have been reading the book, too. I especially like the first paragraph. As a learner of English, I find it not easy to read-- too many new words to me. I began it long time ago, still haven't finished it yet. I wonder whether young people in Britin still love reading those novels nowadays? Do you also read modern novels?

Yeah I really like this book. I read a lot of modern books too like Harry Potter, chick lit and mystery books. I like to read :)

That is a great book! One of my favorites. I am currently reading a book called Juno and Juliet that I found on sale one day. It's pretty good, actually, and I'm enjoying reading something that I had no ideas or impressions of before buying.

I love it when that happens. When you don't have any ideas about a book before you read it and it turns out to be great. I think it makes reading the book better.

My current book is Landover by Terry Brooks. it's actually a series and its quite long but after reading the first two books my interest is piqued. i find it quite interesting about the way they integrate the modern and fantasy world. Another one is called Sun at Midnight by Rosie Thomas.

I am ashamed to say that the last book I read, which was a couple months ago was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. It is just that I've read the first 6 years ago, and it just felt incomplete without reading the last book. I don't even remember the details of the 6th book. I figure, I'll just rent or buy the whole movie set when they come out so I can tie down the whole story, instead of remembering bits and pieces.

I love the Harry Potter series so much. I prefer the books to the movies to be honest and I haven't seen any of the movies past the third one.

that was a great book. actually im reading 2 right now. a true crime book when i go out to smoke called the fast lane and a 1st edition book signed by the author. when i first found it i kept it cause it was a rare book thinking id probably never find it interesting since it was written in 1937 called "This is my story" by Eleanor Roosevelt. but i started reading it one night to go to sleep and found out it was a good interesting story. she tells so much about how things were back then after i read it i hope to find a good buyer for it.

I am currently reading The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai. It has lovely descriptions, but the plot is very slow. I've been working on it for two months, because I keep getting bored before I make much progress. My sister got Day After Night by Anita Diamant for me for my birthday, and I didn't want to start it before I finished the Desai book, but I think I'm going to. I loved her book The Red Tent!
It has been years since I read A Tale of Two Cities, but I do enjoy Dickens. I should put it on my list of books to read! :) What do you think you'll read next?

I have never heard of the book you are reading I think I will go and look it up. I think I might read Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. Or I may re-read Romeo & Juliet.
Thanks. :)
