I love knitting, crocheting and afghanning. I always have some kind of project going in knitting and crocheting. Right now I have one sleeve left to do on a knitted sweater for my daughter. I just finished crocheting a layette for my neighbor and I'm almost done with one for my niece. Still have one to do for my cousin. After I finish my daughters sweater, she wants a knitted skirt and crocheted hair ribbons. Crocheting goes faster, but I love to knit.

I enjoy knitting, this time of year, especially. I don't knit much for Christmas any more because everyone already has one of my knitted afghans and/or a sweater or socks, but I did find a pattern for some mini mittens I might make to decorate packages and the tree. Knitting is relaxing to me, and productive, too.

Good idea. I have crocheted or sewn mini stockings in the past to present my presents, but not lately.

I still love to knit and crochet. A couple of years ago, throughout the year, I knit a winter scarf for everyone on my Christmas list. This year, I doing hats and crocheted dish cloths. Such a relaxing hobby, and always welcome as gifts...easy on the budget, too! Karen

I learned to knit when I was young and made myself mitten, sweater, hat and lots of potholder for my mom. I have not knitted for over 30 years now. When I got married my mother-in law taught me how to crochet and I like it better because you only needed one needle. I have only crochet about 3 small afghans and 4 large ones but that has been a long time ago. So, to answer your question no I am not still knitting.

I never di learn how to knit. I always wanted to learn how to do it though. Some members of my family used to do very well with it. they made it look so easy too. I never learned how to.

I don't knit anymore but I do know how. My mother taught me and my daughter to knit, pearl, tat, and embroider. My mother tatted some beautiful lace pieces. I am still using two afghans she made before she passed away. I still know a gal that knits for her families babies and friends because she can't afford to buy for them.

Anything that has a needle be it stitching, embrodery or knitting, I am allergic to!! But my love for my mother was so great that I started knitting a sweater for her. As I had not followed the pattern I had to rip out a few lines which I hated to do and there it was waiting for that correction. The moment never arrived and now my Mom is no more!
