Have you been looking at Whitesmoke?

I have been looking around the web for a downloadable grammar, spell-check, and writing enhancement application. Would like free or course but if a good product and not much money I would consider it. Almost everywhere I look I see adds for a company called "Whitesmoke". Very attractive web site with a demo of their product. While not actually said they lead you to believe that for the money you can download the software and off you go. Wrong! Their system is only on-line and not a good one at that. It looked fishy to me. No response when I asked them via email if their product was downloadable. I found other sites that had this product but in looking at the fine print you soon see it is Whitesmoke under a different name. I found the link at the end of this post. It is a scam, according to this paper, and no doubt have done very well. As this person says they named the product well. Check it out and then warn others. It must have been around for a long time as I found one other post on mylot and it was three years old. So they are doing something right to still be in business. I have no bone to pick with them just don't trust them now and dislike people who pray on other people. If you have had a good experience with them please tell us.
