This is going to sound strange, but what can cause the smell of death, or similar smell when nothing has died? Earlier today my husband was in one of the bedrooms and noticed a smell. We have babies so I just thought it was dirty diapers. I went into the room and it was not dirty diapers. The only way I can describe it is, it smelled like something had died. I thoroughly cleaned that room today. I was looking to see if one of the cats didn't bother using the litter box, cat vomit, hairballs, etc. I moved everything out of the room and cleaned and sprayed with Lysol. We opened the window to air it out. which helped for a while. I had to get something out of that room this evening and smelled the smell again. When my husband came in, he did not smell anything. So the smell comes and goes. What am I missing here? This is the only room that has this smell. We have lived in this house for 4 years and have never smelled anything like this.
