Interesting mixed bag of responses. My husband and I both went on a regular basis when we had insurance to cover it. He started because his back was severely out and he couldn't move. The chiro got him back in shape. My back had been injured during a pregnancy and we were considering getting pregnant again, so I started going for maintenance. After I did get pregnant, I went all through my pregnancy and after for over a year as well. I didn't have any problems with my back throughout the pregnancy. I have heard a lot of stories about people either really loving or hating their chiro. It's weird. I suppose it is useful, but perhaps easy to screw up?

I went to a chiropractor many years ago for a few weeks. After that I went to an orthopedic surgeon who told me that the chiropractor had been furthering my injuries. I had broken vertebra and the chiropractor never even knew it. Never again though!

Yes, I went many many years ago...when I was a child. back then, it was all the rage to go to a chiropractor. Unfortunatley, he weakened my back muscles and pulled them away from my spine...when I was 16, I severely sprained my lower back and three doctors confirmed that is was likely from the chiropractor visits when I was a kid. Im 30 now, and I still have problems with my back and have to do exercises to keep it strong to avoid further damage and injury.
