Fiat and ambassador are the cars allowed to run as cabs here. Here in calcutta, taxis are deep yellow in colour and recently the government allowed wagonr car to ferry people. Generally the taxi drivers wear kaki coloured shirt and trousers, but it isnt a must to wear the uniform. Agin here in calcutta, cab drivers wear navy blue. So in your country what type of car is allowed to run as taxis? also should they be in any particular colour for easy spotting? Do your taxi drivers wear a particular colour while driving?

No I havent seen the maruthi omni as a taxi anywhere. I know that in Delhi, that vehicle is banned. here in Kolkata, people ferry people in omni but on a sharing basis. It is better known as share taxi. Cars do not follow this system here. Though auto do.
