I am extremely excited about my husband's birthday coming on 1st November and i am counting the days on fingers.I have decided to give him a mobile phone as a present which he wanted the most.I know when i will give him his surprise gift,he will be very delighted after having got the mobile phone.I have been accumulating secret funds for the past few months
and now i have got around $ 125 which is RS.6000 in Indian Rupees.
I am in a fix which brand to give him.Well i know i will chose between Nokia or Samsung because both are my trusted brands.But i am still unable to chose the particular model within my range.Can mylotters suggest me some models of the phones so that i can narrow down my search?

I think Rs. 6000 is good enough for a Nokia phone with most modern features. Anyway, I don’t use a mobile myself so cant be of much help. Advance happy birthday to you hubby though and I hope you both (along with your son) enjoy the day.
My hubby’s birthday is coming too, on Nov 6th and I plan to gift him a wristwatch. Most of his wrist watches are gone and he now keeps time by looking at his mobile but that’s not very convenient. Its not a surprise gift really coz I want him to select the model he wants…he’s quite finicky you know and after that I have planned for dinner…let’s see!

Oh that is so cool.I wish you have great time together.
You are right that Nokia has some very good brands and they fall within my range too.
Yesterday i went to the market and saw a Samsung mobile SHG L700 .It is very cool and has all the latest features.It is very stylish and comes within my range .It is costing me Rs.6300.I have planned to buy it.

Well i am just searching the net for the model of my choice and range,i want to chose 3-4 models so that i can narrow down my choice when i visit the store to actually buy the mobile.

I was very happy to read your topic-it sounded so sweet and romantic.But I am unable to contribute much because I do not know the answer.I checked with my son and he said that there are umpteen models available in both the brands you have written and the choice is veyr wide.Obviously, that is why you have posed the question.Whatever you choose, that is the best and the love and affection I can see is so heartening.

Thanks very much for your sweet wishes.It was my ardent desire to gift him a phone since his mobile phone has had some technical malfunctioning which cannot be repaired.
Yes you are right,there are many models available in both the brands and that is why i am a bit paranoid.I have checked out Samsung S3500 ,Samsung sgh D620,Nokia 5130,Nokia 5230 and all are quite promising.

I still believe you can gift him Nokia range of phones which is in range of around 5200-5800 INR and the ranges are very good to be gifted.For your convenience try out nokia 5200 with most advanced features.Your Husband will love and the phone costs around 5000 Rs.
