We have had a couple of rainy days here recently and I have been struggling to find things to keep myself occupied. I have spent a lot of time on here, but would like to do other stuff too. Whats your favourite rainy day activity? How do you keep yourself entertained when its bad outside? Any suggestions for me other than online related stuff?

It is nearly always raining where I live so I just carry on about my normal business. I love to go out when it is raining but I like the rain.
You could read a book? Take up a hobby like knitting? Tidy ? Maybe watch some movies you have wanted to watch for a while? Watch daytime TV & eat junk food.
I do all of these when I am stuck inside mostly the reading and watching movies.

Give yourself a make over? Try different hairstyles and experiment with make up?
Thats always fun.

We've had some rainy days here lately too. I play on the internet, clean the house, get caught up on laundry, play cars or color with my son. I also watch some television or read a good book. I sometimes give myself a pedicure or paint my fingernails. I play games with the family sometimes or watch a movie. There are lots of things you can do where you don't have to use the internet.

Hi Carmelbg,
I like to sew or work on craft projects. Depending on my mood or I may read a good book.. watch some oldies on TV or rent a movie.

Hi, carmel, rainy days always make our life a little unconvenient. But I like it.
As my daily relaxing activities are almost indoors, it doesn't affect me much.
I still watch TV, surf on internet, do reading, listen music, and so on. All of them can be done indoors. Maybe I'm lazy.
I also like walking in the rain, holding an umbrella. (I don't want to catch a cold.)The views in the rain are quite different with those in the sunny day. And it has a distinctive flavors, in my opinions.

Hi, carmelbg
I love rainy days. I like going out and doing shop when it's raining actually. But if the rain is too strong and it is quite impossible to go out, I clean the house and scrub bathrooms. When I am done with that, I cook. If I feel too lazy, I watch a movie or read a book.
Cheers!

When I read your topic I said to myself you are talking about the UK. Then I checked your profile and found I was right. I have similar feeling like you have now. I don’t like the weather either. I don’t have rain yet, but every day it is cloudy and I feel so cold. I start to miss summer and sunshine.
I’m desperate to go some warm places to spend this period. I feel so down this morning when I have a look outside. Totally no sunny, totally cool. I want to Caribbean sea if I can afford it.

I love rainy days. If it's raining for a day, I can curl up with a book and a blanket. But if it's going to be more than that, I have to get things done but the rain makes me feel lazy. I set up a schedule, not a minute by minute or hour by hour, but more like day by day. I pick the things that I need to get done, like cleaning the house, ironing, laundry, cleaning out a closet. Then I set up the schedule. I will clean the house for an hour, put in a load of laundry and take a look at the closet I want to clean. Then I watch a movie or read a book for a few hours. Then I get up to empty the dishwasher, move the laundry to the dryer and bring a few trash bags to the closet I want to clean. Watch TV or read for a couple of hours. Go back to the closet, empty the floor of the closet and sort into bags - 1 for trash, 1 to give away and maybe 1 for better storage, put back the things I want handy and then I might start dinner. Day is over. Next day I do the same, sometimes it can rain for a few weeks, I can't do nothing for that long. You can pick a day to have lunch with friends or go out to a movie. But I think you need a plan or the days just get away from you.
