Well...my advice is to clean up your hard disk. If ever you have a desktop, also clean the system unit. And if this does not help, make sure not to over crowd your hard disk with programs and files. Most often this is my problem. However if your task manager no longer opens, and your system is slowing down and you can't open your anti-virus, it means you already need to format your computer.

when freezing happened to my computer i usually press alt, control and del, then turn it off, then i turn it on again and use the cleaner, then i look for nonsense programs and i uninstall it, they just make the memory full and makes the pc slow... and also scanning for virus...

do a disk clean up.
startprogramsaccessoriessystem toolsdisk clean up
it lets you remove unnecessary programs on your computer. you can also try clearing temp files in you temp folder by doing this.
startrun%temp% - then erase all files on this folder.
also try to check if you have available RAM maybe its time to upgrade.
do a viruscan during safemode to make sure they will not be loaded once you run your antivirus.lastly check on the internet and search for 'how to optimize the computer system' it makes us of third party programs to do the task.

Hi, my laptop kept doing this and i had to do a complete system restore but this loses all programs etc i had but its worked perfect ever since! some laptops/PC's come with factory recovery disks which talk you through this or there is a way you can do it yourself by restoring it to a previous working date like a few months before perhaps. There are sites on the web that will talk you through it for free im not sure where (sorry) but i no they are out there! I hope this helps!

First things first.
1. Check your computer for unknown running programs. Try Security Task Manager from Neuber. With this program you can check all running programs and have the option of disabling them by quarantine and/or removing them from windows startup. The program can fully run on evaluation period.
2. Download and run ccleaner. its actually effective in cleaning your system, and its free.
