Clear some space and make room for a good fortune, urges feng shui expert.
Not only is it a fresh start for us but it is also a time to honor the lessons learned in the past year and to welcome the new opportunities coming forth in the next year. There are many things to do.
Some say cleaning of house, clear out your closets and storage space of things that you no longer need. This allows you to shake up the stale energy of these items, make space for new things to come into your life, and to clear up the path of the chi in your home.
There are many things that bring good things...
How about you? do you seek for feng shui expert for your home?

I am an interior designer and I have to say that feng shui and interior design do not really go too well with each other most of the time. I also am not Chinese so I do not know everything about feng shui. Having said that does not mean I am against it. I actually have a lot of principles which are known feng shui principles too. I actually follow these principles but not because I want to follow feng shui but because I believe that the concepts are really practical and useful. There are really a lot of feng shui principles which are essential and can enhance your everyday living and those are just what I follow. I do not decorate or design based on the luck aspect of feng shui because as far as i know, the principles change every year so it is really impractical to change the layout of your house especially if it involves moving your stairs or bathrooms just because it's badluck not to. I have nothing against feng shui but I just don't follow it by heart. When I see some useful and effective principles, I would apply it. :D

It does not match all the time; the interior design and the feng shui. But some interior designer should know some of it, especially their clients are Chinese. Chinese are very particular with this. It is already built-in with them, their tradition and culture.

Yes a lot of them are particular with feng shui. One of my colleagues even had one client who gave her notes and books just so she can study feng shui before she does the design of the house. I actually have a Chinese client right now. I am doing a huge portion of his house (6 bedrooms, living area, dining area, entertainment are, bathrooms, etc). I was concerned about feng shui at first so I asked him directly if he was particular about it but he said he personally is not too keen of following feng shui like his other siblings. He just want practical and simple designs and gave me the freedom to design his house however I want it. The hardest thing we had to do which concerned feng shui was to not place the headboard of the bed on to the wall beside the bathroom. I did not have a hard time with that though because I was going to do that anyway since it what's practical to do. He also said he had a store before which have already been constructed before they asked a feng shui master to evaluate it and the master said that the stairs had to be moved at the other side of the building and that there were walls which aren't placed strategically based on feng shui. They all knew it was really impractical to do the stuff he was saying so they did not bother following them. Still lucky them because their store is very profitable. I am lucky to have him as a client because I do not have to study feng shui further. I don't know though if I would really study it formally because like what you said, it is really important especially if my client is a traditional Chinese.

I have never heard of "feng shui" before. Nor do I know anything about anything called "chi." But Happy New Year anyway! I don't usually think about "luck" like most people though. I believe we have opportunities to be good people and to help others. I also believe we "reap what we sow." Which means if we are mean, ugly and unforgiving to others, we will have that all returned to us somehow.

In 2008 I went to the Bristol Vegan Fayre and there I entered a competition to win a book about fung shui. I was so delighted to be the lucky winner. I really enjoyed learning about fung shiu and it appeals to me. I like to do clutter clearing in my home. I find that helpful to my life. I got rid of clutter and did lots of cleaning of all the things that I kept. I would like to learn more about fascinating fung shui.

I have never spoken to a Feng Shui expert, it would be interesting. The problem I would have is that I cannot afford to make radical changes to my house and the way my furniture is placed does not leave too many options to move it around. I think clearing out your old stuff every once in a while is a good renewing ritual. I might buy a book on it...

good topic feodda!
i love the idea of fung shui, but with a busy lifestyle and kids, its really hard to fit in all those self help things for you and your suroundings.
i do on the other hand always try to have things well organised, its helps alot with stress and general well being,
before this hectic lifestyle i now lead, i used to be into self help remedies and burning incense all the like, quite often, and it really does help to calm and relax the soul! (i do so miss it all so much!)
