experiences with racism?

our american society has come a long way in eliminating racial strife. however, the mentality and its prejudices continue to linger on. have you personally experienced racism?
one thing ive noticed - often ill take the train in and out of nyc, and no matter how crowded it is, theres always an empty seat next to a black person. it makes you think...

Its people and their way of thinking. Now matter how learned they become they do foolish things like, your example, just to show how ignorant they are. I am an Indian and I have noticed racism first hand when I travel overseas. Australia has recently sparked and conducted some cruel racism acts by beating many Indians. Australia is a nice country but some of the people make it bad.
